Had lunch recently. Lovely view of the harbour. Pleasant waitress (although her English was poor). Food was good overall, although my fish platter was more batter than fish. I was surprised by the more negative reviews here as this did not reflect my experience at all. The hotel is situated with uninterupted views across St Mawes harbour over the Roseland Peninsula and is a great place to sit and watch the boats. During a short stay in St Mawes, we dined twice in this hotel. The meal was superb on both occasions, very tasty and a feast for the eyes. The staff were most attentive. If we return to St Mawes, we will definitely stay at this hotel
