We decided to go to St Mawes and have afternoon tea at Hotel Tresanton. We were great charmingly and could chose where to sit. The staff were all very attentive. A truly divine afternoon tea. I have had many afternoon teas and this was one of the best especially as what you thought was a cucumber sandwich I fact had... More

This was one of four great hotels my wife and I stayed at during a two week UK and Netherlands trip. We can't say enough about this extremely well run property. Room service is at your door within minutes of calling, maid service folds your clothes and cleans muddy boots from your amazing coastal walks, and front office and restaurant... More

Excellent food and service. No problem interchanging items on the menu. The wine waiter was very happy to allow one of our party to sample various wines (by the glass) before choosing a bottle. We sat outside, which was lovely while it was light, but eating in the dark was interesting, so remember to take your phone with a torch... More

The Hotel Tresanton rightly deserves its reputation as the best in this part of Cornwall. It simply offers more of everything: comfort, luxury, service, and exceptionally good food. Added to this is its location, with stunning views across the bay and terraces where you can idle with a drink and watch the sun go down. It's one of those rare... More

This was our second stay at Tresanton and if anything the hotel has improved since our first visit in that the restaurant food is now much better. Tresanton is delightful and the standards are second to none. We left it 5 years since our first visit - we won't wait so long in future!

I lived locally for many years and had visited, for tea, before but never slept here. Four sunny days with friends confirmed this as one of the best hotels in Cornwall. We stayed in the Annex and this is recommended if you want to avoid occasional "wedding noise" during the summer. The views are probably better too. Rooms were outstanding... More

St Mawes is a beautiful spot in Cornwall and Tresanton is in a fantastic location, looking out across the water. The hotel feels intimate and the staff were all friendly, with everyone from the waitress in the restaurant to the hotel manager happy to chat. The receptionist gave us great advice for places to visit when driving around Cornwall and... More

Room 19 has a magnificent view of the harbor and village just to the left. I cannot say enough good things about this property. I was traveling alone, and everyone, from the porter to the front desk staff to the servers made me feel welcomed and appreciated. A lovely property in a magnificent setting. Food excellent and room service exceptionally... More

Given the reputation Tresanton has we were disappointed by the hotel. We were there for three nights for a long weekend. The service in the restaurant was slow particularly on the friday night which meant we waited over an hour for our main course. However the staff apologised for this. Very little attention was given to us over the weekend... More
