My partner and I go to this pub - and stay there - twice a year. Accommodation-wise, it isn't cheap, but the location and stunning views are worth twice the price they actually charge. Rooms are clean, comfortable, service very obliging (sometimes slightly chaotic, but that ads to the charm) and the breakfasts super. The pub itself is wonderful, and... More

This pub has a definite charm and you should visit at least once. We always cram a visit in. Yes it's crowded and difficult to get a seat, but when you do get a bench on the front it is so lovely to sit and watch the world go by and look at the glorious sea and sand whilst drinking... More

Food was good and the pub was a lovely setting on the sea front and gets very busy. I would highly recommend the fish and chips. Christmas time in St Ives is a wonderful place it's lovely and quiet but the sloop is always busy as it's such a popular little place with a proper Cornish welcome.

We dropped in for a quick drink with family and our two tiny dogs. While seated another family left with two very large dogs and had to squeeze past our table. i picked our dog up onto my lap and we were told by an abrupt rude member of stfaff that dogs were welcome but under the table. I appreciate... More

Went here last night for my daughter's birthday, while we are staying in St Ives. Lovely atmosphere. Service was excellent. The glass of wine I had was good, not the usual rubbish served in some pubs. My daughter had the seafood tagliatelle and I had the burger. Both were well presented and tasted very good. The burger was home made,... More

The sloop is a regular first stop for us when in St Ives and it never dissapoints. Doom bar is an excellent local ale and the food menu has a great choice of locally caught fish and sea food as well as steaks, burgers etc. Much better than average pub food and if the weather is good, a cold pint... Absolutely brilliant. Fabulous room which was clean, spacious and well equipped. Views to the harbour. Staff were friendly, polite and professional. Brilliant food in the Captains Table at amazing value and a choice of breakfasts. Don't tell anyone else though or we won't get in next time.....

Been to St Ives every summer for the whole of my life, and when I was a kid, the Sloop was a must from my Dad, after spending the day on the beach. As an adult, I'm exactly the same. Don't let the crowds put you off! I've seen some fab sunsets sat outside this pub, the atmosphere is great.... More
