This was our second visit after finding the hotel online last year, last minute, and we had just as fabulous a time this summer in this gorgeous Boutique hotel. From the minute you walk throught the front door a warm welcome awaits you ,both from the Proprietors,Mandy & Gary, and the elegant ambience of the surroundings. The standards maintained at the Thurlestone are... more

We booked over the phone as a friend had recommended it to us so we hadn't even seen the place . We were not disappointed , greeted warmly at the door , shown to our spotlessly clean room and met up later in the bar for a drink . Gary and Mandy were both helpful in recommending places to eat... more

Stayed for 2 nights in early August. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast with good choice of well-cooked food - try the scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, my daughter did and was very glad she did! This guest house is well deserving of its 4 stars. It's easy to get to, easy to find, conveniently located, and very very... more

My friend and I shared a double room at the Thurlestone for three nights and absolutely loved it. We had the smallest room, but it was still very comfortable and functional. The whole place is crisply decorated and very clean, and the owners are some of the friendliest people - nothing was too much trouble. We also loved the location,... more

My husband and I along with our 14 month old daughter recently stayed at the Thurlestone in Carbis Bay and loved it! We received superb hospitality throughout our entire visit and could not have asked for anything more! The breakfast was wonderful as was the lounge/bar to relax in the evening. The Thurlestone offers it all from a great location,... more

The service and personal attention we received at Thurlestone Guest House was the best we've ever recieved! The location is perfect as a starting point to all destinations on the the Penwith Peninsula, or anywhere in Cornwall for that matter! My husband and I had a few excursions planned in Penzance, Newlyn, Land's End, St Austell and Tintagel...this hotel was... more

Thurlestone is probably the best Guest House I have ever stayed in. The owners are extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms are spotless and very comfortable. The Breakfasts are great too with a good variety. Carbis Bar far nicer than St Ives to stay at and is only about a 10 minute walk away from St Ives. I would highly... more

When you are four "senior ladies" (who are admittedly "hard to please") and think you've found the cleanest and and one of the nicest accommodations on a 2 week trip through London and southern England what a pleasant surprise to be met by two of the warmest and most hospitable innkeepers: Mandy and Gary. It can't get much better. They... more

We recently returned from our holiday at Thurlestone in Carbis Bay and had a great time. The guest house itself is about a mile from St Ives and can be accessed via a coastal path which starts directly across the road from Thurlestone and is a lovely walk. We found it much better staying in Carbis Bay rather than St... more
