just returned from a 2 night break there and we were absolutely impressed by this hotel. we arrived by sleeper train, at the hotel's suggestion (and what a great idea for them to give you a public transport discount!), and when we got to the hotel at 0830 we were welcomed with breakfast whilst they prepared the room. the food... more

We stayed at this hotel in March 2008 and I can quite happily say that it is perfect. We booked the whole hotel out for our wedding, and had not actually visited the hotel until we turned up on the day. Within seconds we knew it was the perfect choice, and were sitting down with the owner drinking tea and... more

After being impressed by the website I booked the hotel over the phone. The last 100 yards drive is a bit tricky but fun. The railway station is just a stone’s throw away. We arrived an hour early and were welcomed with a big smile and a Cornish cream tea while our room was being prepared. A fine sandy beach... more

Well, what can I say?! My wife and I stayed for a 2 night break for my 38th birthday at the beautiful Primrose Valley Hotel. Being born and bred in Cornwall, some might wonder why not travel further afield? The simple answer is, that when you have St. Ives, Carbis Bay, Lelant, Hayle, Gwithian and Godrevy all in the St.... more

Although a little wary of tripadvisor reviews as the sole basis for selecting a hotel, the combination of previous reviews and the description of the hotel on its website were 100% reliable. My wife and I just celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary at Primrose Valley and our only disappointment was that we hadn't booked for more than 4 days. It... more

This hotel really is a gem, the staff are lovely and it really benefits from being away from the main town, a short 5 min walk away. There is a really good bar serving a good choice of wine and a good choice of glasses to go with them. Wonderful trip and would recommend it to anyone more

I selected this hotel for a romantic break in St. Ives, based on the previous excellent reviews on TripAdvisor and the hotel's very informative website. I contacted them at quite short notice (thinking that October would be quiet in Cornwall!)- fortunately (due to a cancellation) there was just one room available. It was the suite- which was astounding (see their... more

This is a great choice for a stay in St Ives. A lovely comfortable room. The hotel overall feels very new and fresh. The bathrooms have good quality fittings, and the rooms have good linens. Very helpful and accommodating staff. Breakfast is delicious, and uses local produce. Only 2 minutes from St Ives train station and a five minute walk... more

My partner and I stayed for a short break at the Primrose Valley hotel in September and had a wonderful time - we have nothing but praise for the hotel and the staff. The hotel is in a fantastic location just seconds walk from Porthminster Beach - which incidentally is a spectacular beach with a spectacular cafe. It was great... more

Spent three very relaxing nights away from the bustle of London at the stylish but cosy Primrose Valley Hotel last week and wouldnt hesitate to return. The welcome was not only warm but genuine. The hotel was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated with exceptional attention to detail. The location is perfect, 2 seconds from the beautiful Porthminster Beach (and lovely... more
