A stones throw from the station and the beach, and only a few minutes amble into the town and harbour area, this hotel is an ideal base for a relaxing stay. Breakfast is beautifully prepared, and there is a wide choice whether you just want fruit and coffee, or a full cooked, locally sourced plateful. Whole hotel has a calming... more

Primrose Valley Hotel is set in a wonderful location with stunning views and just yards from Porthminster Beach which itself looked like it was from a mediterrean setting - azure blue sea and white sand. Although we stayed in the small room, it was adequate for everything we needed and had a fabulous view over the bay to St Ives.... more

The Primrose Valley Hotel is a small but beautifully presented hotel at Porthminster Bay. The room was tastefully decorated, we had a balcony with sea-view . There were all the amenities you would expect in a hotel of this calibre, with comfortable bed, crisp bed linen and a good shower in the bathroom. The breakfast menu was excellent with the... more

Well, not sure that I can add a lot to the great comments already noted. Friendly welcome, excellent hotel in just about every way. We had one of the smallest rooms, but it didn't feel like we'd missed anything. Staff were great, a bit too quick actually in one case considering this is a 'pamper yourself rotten' hotel, but can... more

Well first off this is indeed an excellent place to stay. Right by a very nice beach, and easy walking distance to St Ives centre with plenty of places to eat, and in the day to wander around, if you're lucky like we were in the sunshine. The hotel is certainly interesting to get to, down a very steep hill,... more

Warm welcome from staff with lack of formality , no recption desk and welcomed with a cream tea. The green ethos of the hotel is very apparent and was one of the selling points when we booked the visit. Room was clean and tidy and the breakfast excellent. Easy to walk into St Ives. Close to the station so possible... more

We stayed in the suite which is amazing, gourgeous bathroom, lounge area and bedroom, can't fault any of it, staff are all very helpful and friendly, this was our treat stay before our baby arrives and it really was a treat too! We would... more

On both occasions the rooms have been spotlessly clean, comfortable beds & wonderful ensuites. We stayed here for the first part of our honeymoon. The hotel is beautifully decoreated to a high stand and the rooms are lovely. We had a balcony which lloks out over the beach and harbour and the views are priceless! Breakfast is fantastic something for everyone. All staff are so friendly and couldn't do enough for us. We also... more

This is our second stay at Primrose Valley. We stayed for one night in March which was a bit whirlwind to say the least but we decided to visit again on the Bank Holiday weekend. So with more time to spend in St Ives there couldn't be a better located hotel - OK it's a bit tricky finding it but... more
