The Balnoon is in a lovely location-lots of fields with picturesque footpaths into St Ives. The hosts were great and happy to share their knowledge of the locality. I did a fantastic coastal walk from Lelant to Carbis Bay that I would never have found for myself. My plan was to meet a friend down in Cornwall but unfortunately she... More

Eveyone has to visit St Ives, at least once in their lives. What a really cool and crazy place. Every cottage stacked up on top of the next one, with extremely narrow lanes no car should ever attempt to navigate. DONT TRY IT!! The Balnoon is about three miles outside town and has a great car park, close to footpaths,... More

Just happened to pass by this place and was pleasantly surprised. We called in on Tuesday and had food from the bar menu. Was absolutely lovely. Couldn't fault it. beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean. Warm Friendly atmosphere. both owners came and chatted - Even the dog came and said hello. Definitely worth going a visit. x

We were welcomed by Mike the owner when we arrived. There is a nice, warm, friendly atmosphere in the restaurant/bar area. We were shown to our table after getting Some drinks. We chose to have a medium carvery, there was plenty of meat and a Lovely large selection of seasonal vegetables to choose from. At £8.95 for a medium roast... More

Now under new management, Mike & Viv made sure our stay was relaxing and hassle free. Great food, good value for money and amazing location. Rooms recently refurbished with fresh, modern decor. Nothing was too much trouble and a warm, friendly atmosphere. Only living an hour away, this is a perfect place to frequent.

I made a last minute decision to travel down to St Ives with my partner knowing absolutely nothing about the area but I was so glad to have found this B&B. It cost £112 for both nights including breakfast, this in comparison to other places was very cheap! The check in time was between 2ish and 11pm which was useful... More

Found this place on way to St Ives as we really fancied a roast. Although we got there too early to eat we had a friendly welcome and a lovely couple of coffees. Had a great Carvery delicious veg and meat.
