From the minute we arrived we were made to feel like friends. I can only confirm what everyone else says about White Waves. Howie and Andy are excellent hosts and have a lovely home. Howie enjoys his work and it shows in his attention to detail. The rooms are spotlessly clean and the breakfasts are wonderful. I enjoyed the soldiers!!... more

Stayed in the Crows nest, which was spotlessly clean, well furnished and had amazing views. The attention to detail was what I would expect from a five star hotel, white bath robes, full toiletries, individual news papers in the morning an excellent breakfast and of course Howie, one of the best hosts ever. more

We only stayed for two nights but would have happliy stayed longer. It felt like we were staying at a friends house, rather than a guest house. (a friend that cleans up after you and cooks you lovely breakfasts that is). The town is also a very short walk down some steps, and porthminster beach is really close too, but... more

A great location, within walking distance to the town (local shops & restaurants) and beach. Howie, the owner was the perfect host, from the moment we arrived, he made us feel completely at home, he offered some great suggestions on restaurant bookings and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was fantastic and had a perfect view of the bay... more

Welcomed with a cup of tea from Andy, things just got better. Howie had all sorts of information and knowledge of St Ives and the surrounding area for my mum and I to explore. Recommendations of a great DVD to watch, where to go for dinner and breakfast time which was a treat,I recommend to scrambled eggs with salmon! Andy's... more

My partner and I just returned form a nights stay in this beautiful B&B. Niether of us could fault this place in any way at all. The owners are 2 really lovely people who obviously put loads of effort into making sure that everyone who stays with them has a fantastic time. The room was very well decorated and furnished... more

On arrival for our second visit Howie and Andy gave us such a warm welcome. Immediately we felt at home again. The Master bedroom is a delight and so comfortable with many thoughtful touches and finishes and has fantastic views views of St Ives and the harbour. Howie is a perfect host, so warm and friendly with a wonderful sense... more

We have just got back from a really great break in St Ives. We would definitely recommend staying at the White Waves - a lot of thought and effort has clearly gone into making guests feel welcome and making sure that their stay is as comfortable as possible. Howie is an excellent host and makes a great breakfast. The location... more

Spent two nights at White Waves and it was an unexpected pleasure. Apart from it's wonderful position and view, The proprietor Howie made this the perfect stay. Howie was very attentive from the moment that we arrived until the moment we left. The house is well decorated and clean to a fault and the rooms are very tastefully decorated. Howie... more
