This place is dated, its a bit dirty, a bit noisey and generally pretty poor. But lets be honest, I would go back again because the price and location (centre of St Ives) is right. There is a self catering kitchen.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Had a relaxed atmosphere but the common rooms and dorms were dirty. In a good location near the beach and shops but unfortunately on a busy road, with traffic noisy all night.

We were supposed to be here for 2 nights, the young Australian girl that works on the reception and runs most things is very sweet, friendly and helpful. However,we cut short our stay as the thought of another night in this filthy hovel was just too much. The bedding was adequate, although the pillows are as thin as a pancake and filthy,no curtains in... A very nice hostel to stay to experience some of the hippie life-style. It feels like a different dimension, different space. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to save money and build a deeper connection with their travelling companions.

Unlike the reviews I saw before coming, I found this place not dirty at all. In fact, it's been one of the cleanest I stayed during my trip around Cornwall, and I gotta say that I stayed in quite a few. When I first entered the place, I was impressed. Really really big, surf-like decorated and full of amazing people.... More

This hostel is all you need and more! it has such good staff, Very fun surf vibes and basic clean rooms. The only thing that could be improved is the men's shower down stairs. But they have better ones upstairs anyway so no big deal. Recommended for any backpackers traveling to St Ives

After reading reviews on this hostel I was very hesitant in staying.. But was desperate to see St Ives and there wasn't much of a choice really. Although after arriving the manager was so friendly and welcoming. A large lounge / common area meant I could meet new people and some locals. Had a chat to a few long termers... More

I probably couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. I went down to St Ives from London by myself so I was looking to stay somewhere pretty sociable and close to the harbour. I'd read a couple of reviews previously and wasn't quite sure what I was in for but I took my chances and was glad I... More

Honestly for 15£ a night I couldn't ask for much more. It's not the newest most updated hostel but the manager Matt was accomodating and quick to introduce me to other backpackers. The location is the biggest plus, as it is a 20 second walk to a grocery store and a 5 minute stroll through town to get to the... More

I stayed at this so called "haven" which i soon realised was "hell" for 2 nights in the month of March. I had booked a private room a month in advance but when i got there they had no record of my booking even though I had paid them a booking fee. Luckily there was a room available. The room... More

Hi VIV0510, Since you've last stayed here we have undergone a change of management. We've had the whole winter to change around the day -to- day cleaning schedule, late night noise curfew & general rules & regulations of the hostel. I myself as the new manager stopped here as a guest last summer and experienced the same problems that you... More
