The Western Hotel is an old hotel in the centre of St Ives. The rooms are basic but cosy, clean and comfortable. Always plenty of hot water for showers when required. An Excellant Full English Breakfast is served in the Western Gril which in the evening becomes a restaurant. There is an open kitchen where one can see the food being prepared. Sometimes the service is a little slow when busy but the food is well worth the wait.
There is a bar called the Kettle and Wink where on Mondays and Fridays local musicians come and play - admission is free.
Tuesday nights is Jazz night in the function room. Jazz musicians come from over U.K. to play.
Sunday a Carvery is served in the function room which is great value.
Hotel and Bar staff are friendly and helpful and are an excellant source of information on local sights and events.
There is parking but it is limited however there is a 24 hour car park about a 10 minute walk from the hotel.
