Whilst it is true that the Hotel is a little bit tired in places it is very clean and comfortable, the staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts are excellent ant the staff only to happy to help the breakfast room is lovely simple but comfortable and had a wonderful real fire burning in the fireplace. The rooms definitely... Three of us stayed in a room at the top of the hotel overlooking the street. We had a double and single bed all of which were comfortable and there was ample space for us. However that is about the only positive thing I can say unfortunately. The window payne was cracked, the street was quite noisy outside with lots... More

Very tired and shabby decor throughout the hotel. The en-suite was practically a cupboard and was also really outdated - and would have been nice to have a proper bath matt rather than a paper one. However, My bedroom was modern and very spacious with a lovely comfortable bed. No frills but a good price in quiet season and the... More

The second time we have stayed at this hotel, and it was as pleasant as the first! This is a wonderful hotel, small and friendly. The rooms are all en-suite, clean and light, and there is free wi-fi. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the breakfasts (vegetarian in our case!) are excellent! It's located in the centre of... More

Room 16, Clean, but very very basic. Broken hinge on wardrobe. Loo door doesn't shut properly. Good position however- two minutes from harbour. but oh the parking! Min. £7.50 per day and a three minute walk up a very steep hill , which would be no good for many older people Add that to the £115 per day for a... More

Quite centrally located in this bustling seaside resort, friendly atmosphere with an acceptable lunchtime menu. Efficient staff and wifi available ,even a dartboard which is all too rare in hostelries these days!

Your really paying for location for this one, it's right in town so ideal for access to the beach etc. The staff were friendly but our room was inbetween the beer garden, noisy taxi rank and the bins where bottles kept getting emptied throughout the night. Under our room must have been an air vent from the kitchen, for both... More

This is a wonderful, small hotel. The rooms are clean and airy, and are all ensuite. The staff are delightful and so helpful. The breakfasts are amazing, particularly for a vegetarian like me! It's centrally located with short walks to the sea and the railway station, and near the Tate St. Ives and Barbara Hepworth's house and garden. I can't... More

We had a room overlooking the "beer garden" associated with the pub next door which is a part of the hotel. The noise from here carried on some evenings till after midnight. This and with the early wake up screeching from the seagulls made for a restless sleep. The whole hotel has seen some years of service and is showing... More

This hotel is ideally placed to explore St Ives. It is not fancy but clean and comfortable with friendly staff and a substantial breakfast. It was not a problem for me, a heavy sleeper, but the rooms overlooking the square are a bit noisy late at night. If you can leave your car home, do so, St Ives is absolutely... More
