Well it was the last available hotel room in st ives... And justifiably so. Room swelteringly hot with a view of assorted seagull nests and roofs. Our open window hoovered up the overpowering smell from the next door curry house...... And all this for 140 pounds per night.... Although to her credit the receptionist did fess up to this and... Stayed for 2 nights. Never saw anyone on reception but the staff we did see were very helpful. The room was clean but small. Beds very comfy. Tea/Coffee provided. Only real niggle was could do with a hook on the back of the bathroom door. Had to shut the window at night because of the noise outside from the drunks... More

We turned up later than expected and still the service was amazing, the staff couldn't do enough to help our stay be comfortable. The room was clean and comfortable and we had a great nights sleep. Breakfast was fantastic and delicious, the staff were warm and friendly and aimed to please, our fabulous breakfast kept us fuelled for the day... More

Very intimate jazz club with tables and chairs and room for about 50 people. Cheap entrance charge. Saw Gilad Atzmon in May with the Craig Milverton trio. He played a 2 hour set. Stunning. Cost was gbp 12.

Staff were really helpful and lovely, breakfast good value (full English plus other choices available) Mattress was not too good - unusually soft at the edges -so much so that my partner fell out of bed - not something she usually does. Other than that the rooms were really clean and good value for money. Good location for the town.... More

Stayed in Room 18 in January. St Ives was quiet but the hotel was warm, friendly and the room spotless. Nice shower room with good decor. The little bar below was full of characters and great beer. St Ives is obviously a town and there is some noise but the room had secondary glazing so I was not disturbed. If... More

I stayed for 1 night to attend a family funeral; staff very friendly and helpful; tiny room, but clean & adequate with extra pillows in wardrobe; no space for suitcase though. People sitting outside were chatting until after midnight, but otherwise, it was quiet. Plenty of PG teabags, and Nescafe normal & decaf coffee with milk & sugar on tea... More

We stayed for 2 nights. They charged us 105 a night for a twin room. The room was cramped, we found out that it was a double room but they had decided to make it a twin. The sink was in the bedroom rather than in the bathroom. The bathroom was so small and very basic, with no hooks to... More

Small but nicely decorated room, horrid pod bathroom where you can ritually shower when on the loo. But the noise was horrendous, surprisingly for a monday night the bar noise went on till gone 4 and then the buses started at around 5! We left and moved to another hotel as we realised we would not get a nights sleep... More
