We returned to the Chy an Albany to celebrate our dads' 65th birthday, after spending our childhood holidays there many years ago! We could not wait to return, now with the latest additions to our family and it most certainly lived up to expectations! The hotel had obviously been updated, and it had a lovely look and feel to it.... More

We (Jane & Wes) stayed at the Chy-An-Albany Hotel, St.Ives, Cornwall in July to celebrate Wes's birthday. It was out first time to St. Ives. What a beautiful place. The hotel was fantastic. We were really well looked after. The room was great, especially room 11. All the staff were exceptionally good at their job. Wes had a birthday meal... More

We went here as a family. My husband, son and his wife and our beautiful little granddaughter. The family room and our room had stunning sea views and my husband and I had the added bonus of having a balcony room. The breakfast catered for everyone's requirements and it was an extensive menu. The staff were warm and friendly and... More

Just returned from a few days in St Ives. This is a well situated hotel overlooking Porthminster beach. Staff are friendly. There is a good breakfast selection and there is plenty of room as guests can eat in the rear room if required. On a couple of occasions some of the hot breakfast items ran out. They were restocked within... More

We had our wedding reception here on Sat. 16th Aug. and it was fantastic! Our guests are still talking about how lovely the food was and how much they all ate, definitely no leftovers! The staff were very helpful and the restaurant ran very efficiently with 65 of us eating. We had 120 approx to the evening do and there... More

Booked in for 5 nights. Problem with fan noise from room above me on first night - (I was in room 16.) Moved to another room and had an excellent stay. Breakfasts are fantastic! Due to first night problem was charged for four nights not five - thanks Julia! - (I donated the 'refund' to SENSE (Deaf-Blind Association.)

I stayed here for four nights at the height of the season. I had a single room which, not unexpectedly, didn't have a sea view, but the garden view was good, and as it was on the quiet side of the hotel, meant that I could leave the window open all night in the warm nights and not be disturbed... We had a weekend stay at this hotel in a good spell of weather. We had an upgraded room with a very good sea view. The room was a bit small but adequate for our needs. We were particularly impressed by the staff. All were cheerful and very helpful which made for a pleasant experience. All in all a good... More
