I do not rate this hotel at all. I had booked this hotel last minute for my daughters birthday. We arrived Friday 19th June 2015 approx 5.30pm and by 6pm we were checking back out and thankfully fully reimbursed. This is not a clean hotel. It was dirty, clumps of hair on bedroom carpet, suggesting it had not been vacuumed... More

Built in 1892 for Sir Edward Hain the shipping magnet who the wetherspoons pub in the town is named after and I don't think that it has changed much since then. We were in a smallish room with shared bathroom & toilet, and telephone was in the hallway. The room did have a sink,TV,hair-drier,tea/coffee and plenty of storage space with a... More

After reading some of the review I was a little concerned but I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is a wonderful old building with fantastic views over st Ives and is about a 10 minute walk from the centre of st Ives either via the main road or by the beach walk, so location is perfect. We stayed in a... More

We booked this hotel for a short get away in January 2015, just used it as a base to explore Cornwall for two nights. Found the hotel to be very clean, cosy and convenient as only 15 minute walk down the hill to the town and harbour. We didn't use the restaurant facilities but the prices looked reasonable. Didn't read... More

My sister family enjoyed a lovely one night break in St Ives. The room was very good value for money! Very spacious for their family with wonderful views of St Ives bay! All the staff they met were helpful and friendly! Thank you so much and the next time we need to get away they will be sure to book... More

This is an older hotel and the place is slightly tired in terms of furnishings. However at the price it is very good value and the staff are really helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. There is plenty of parking and its has a relaxing atmosphere.

£70 a night seemed abit pricey which excluded breakfast at about £8/ head. The room we stayed in was on the second floor. Very clean, tidy and warm but very basic. Bed was rock hard. My wife had a shower in the morning and thought I could hear the saniflow waste disposal making a horrific noise, come find out it was just... More

It's a real bargain in St. Ives. We got a room on top floor, overlooking the ocean. The hotel is very quiet, a perfect place to relax at night. The rooms are clean and fulfilled our expectations with regard to the price. We were super happy about the parking possibility. This hotel can be quirky (evening prayer..) but nothing is... More

±Best things: Location. Cheapest hotel in St Ives. Free parking. Path to Carbis Bay, town, train station. Bus stop to Penzance outside. Clean and white. Quiet. Non-Smoking. Character property built in Georgian times for shipping magnate. Beautiful views and garden. 15 mins downhill walk to port. Great service. Polite staff. ±Worst things: Room too heated and had window open. Shared... More
