Visited the pub on the 27th August to watch a live group. The pub was very busy which nade the excellent bar service even more inpressive ! Everyone was served pronptly and in a friendly manner by the two gentlemen working behind the bar ! Nothing was too much trouble for these guys - other establishments could learn from them... More

Friendly service, a cosy pub- atmosphere. The quality of the food is average, but the price is good. Children are welcome, there's no special menu for the kids, but the chef is willing to make small changes on the regular menu for them.

We dined in the Union twice during our weeks holiday in St Ives. The portions are plentiful and the food is really nice. I had two Veggie Meals the Mushroom Crumble which was really good then, even better was, the Cauliflower and Leek Macaroni Cheese it was delicious. Hubby had the Steak twice he enjoyed it so much. The Union is a no frills comfortable pub in the centre of St Ives. Friendly attentive staff serve standard pub grub to returning hungry visitors and has built a solid reputation by sticking to what works best ie the menu hasn't changed for years. We like it here, my partner swears by the pie and mash. Yes ok you can... More

A spot of lunch in a cosy pub with a lovely fire! Just what we needed on a chilly Saturday. Great friendly service so give it a try. We both had the fish & chips which were good and crispy and had a fresh little salad on the side with a good dressing on top. Should mention that they have... More

We have wandered through St Ives looking for a pub that was traditional and did a "good pub meal". Luckily we came across The Union Inn. The pub was lovely with a variety of seating styles and locals at the bar. We had the specials of the night (vegetarian chilli for me and pie for my partner). The portions were... More

One of the wonderful things about St Ives is you can find good traditional pubs like the Union. No frills just good, no excellent, beer and traditional pub food at very reasonable prices. We dined here twice and both times had wholesome food (such as the Sunday roast) washed down with well kept ales. They were very full plates and... More

We ate at The Union Inn on two occasions and both times the food was spot on! Friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. I can highly recommend the turkey pie and the beef and Stilton baguette. If you're in St Ives, you should definitely try the food here.

Visited st Ives for a week in May and paid a visit to the Union Inn a place we always like to revisit . The staff are the same as last year and just as friendly and obliging. The pub is quite spacious with one medium sized bar. Low beams and loads of tirn of the century and before pictures... More

We visited st ives this week and used the union 3 times whilst we stayed, we had an excellent meal on all 3 occasions. The staff are friendly, curteous and pleasant. Our two children were given free ice by the barman, and we all felt we were treated well on each occasion. The steak meal with free wine and desserts... More
