Looks lovely from the pictures but could do with a major facelift, carpets, wallpaper etc. Shower was terrible and the bathroom was tiny. For what you pay i think you could stay somewhere better. The breakfast was good, but didn't eat there at any other time so couldn't comment on the other food. The pool area was nice but that... more

The staff were very friendly and extremly helpful, but the decor was truly awful - draylon, flock wallpaper, pine bar and mismatched cheap furniture, and not in a trendy kitsch manner more like I've inherited a job lot of furniture from an old peoples home! We kept expecting to see George and Mildred Roper sitting at the bar with a... more

Have stayed at the Tregorran three times and each time received a very friendly welcome. The breakfasts are superb with plenty of choices, even a fish option and the service again really friendly. The coast path is accessed directly from the garden and takes about 30 minutes into St Ives or heading the other way is within minutes of the... more

For the fifth year we headed back to the Tregorran for our holiday and as always we had a brilliant time. Russell and Lee-nee are wonderful hosts and always make you welcome. Food was wonderful as always and my daughter met up again with friends that she met last year and who returned again this year and also with others... more

although the views of the coastline from this hotel were breathtaking and the staff were friendly and helpful we were extremely disappointed by the standard of accommodation especially given that it was listed as a four star hotel. The furnishings and fittings were very old and tired, I really thought I had stepped back in time, it reminded me of... more

It looks like some of these people stayed in a completely different hotel!...I stayed in room 12...The room smelled of damp, it was dark, the decoration was out of date, you flush the toilet and it sounds like the hearth will fall on your head, you can hear next door guest snoring at night (so thin are the walls...), the... more

Everyone I know who has visited Cornwall has enjoyed it. The Tregorran was especially wonderful for me. You truly feel like a valued guest in someone's home. A stay there is really healthy what with fresh air and walks on the beach close by and on the moors or cliff tops. The scenery and gardens in Cornwall are amazing. The... more

We first visited The Tregorran two years ago on the recommendation of my parents. It was fabulous then and even better in April this year. Lee Nee and Russel make you feel like family from the moment you arrive. Our children ( 9yrs and 6yrs) love the home from home feel of the place and were surprised by Easter gifts... more

stayed at the Tregorran during the Easter break, weather was dire however we did manage to get out a bit. Service at the Tregorran was great, couldn't fault them, did everything they could. It was our first visit to St. Ives and they helped us plan our 4 days there, places to see etc. Rooms are a bit dated but... more

My wife and I have been staying at the Tregorran for over 10 years now. Russell and Lee Nee are the perfect hosts -nothing too much trouble, it's like staying with friends, you don't have stand on ceremony. The bar is the perfect place to relax with other chilled out residents, many of whom we see every year!!Stunning views from... more
