My now husband and I went to this hotel on a coach tour holiday. We were to arrive on Monday, my husbands 65th birthday and then get married on Tuesday!! After reading the reviews before we set off, I could have cried. I should not have worried. The hotel was superb. Olive and her husband were wonderful, surprising us with... more

I stayed with my partner & children in August. We have stayed here a few times now & after reading some of the previous reviews i went with my fingers crossed. I have to say we all had a wonderful holiday. Granted its not the Ritz but it's always clean & tidy. We have already booked for next year my... more

Owners polite. Room clean. Children treated with respect. Waitress very helpful. Have to leave car keys if you're parking another car in,but to be expected really. Parking in the hotel carpark is free, and there's plenty of room if people park sensibly.Having read some of the reviews i thought i'd put one as they seem very unfair .I stay at this... more

Arrived at Longships Hotel with a coach trip on Sunday at 5.30pm. We were due to stay for 1 week however once we had seen inside & outside of the hotel & the impractability for disabled guests, we had booked our taxi home by 7.30pm. This hotel is totally impractical for disabled guests with steps & hills everywhere, I couldn't... more

Room: tiny, low ceiling, dusty/ dirty. The bathroom was so small that couldnt fit a basin, alternatively the basin was fit next to the bed. We were 3 people, paid for a 3bed and the room was hardly a 2bed with a 3rd bed fit next to the bathroom door. Also the duvet was probably not changed/ cleaned from previous... more

Our arrival at the Longships was due to our coach party being double-booked into another local hotel. Everyone involved with the hotel made us feel welcome. Our rooms were cleaned daily. The food was excellent (I put on a few pounds!) The hotel is on a hill but do-able for the able-bodied, while for the less agile there is a... more

First of all easy to find and park by car. The location quite good ..easy walk from al the major food and drink places and... more
