I've just spent a long weekend in St Ives and stayed at the Queens Hotel for the first time. Our double bedroom was relatively small but was perfectly fine for a young couple. I'm sure they have family rooms available. The bar / restaurant downstairs is nicely decorated and the food is outstanding. We have a roast dinner on Sunday... More

Four of us on a wet Monday decided to have lunch at the Queens, had good reports about food. Two burgers and two sandwiches and chips, one burger was requested as well done. This arrived with blood coming out across the bun, it was returned, recooked and presented again to the same bloody bun. This was returned uneaten. The other... More

I stayed here a few days in December. The hotel is right in the middle of St Ives - unlike most of the other places that are way up on the hill. That makes it an excellent place to be based, thought the downside is there is no parking. The rooms are modern (my bathroom seemed newly fitted), they are... More

We stayed at this hotel for three nights and was not disappointed. The food was excellent, and the staff were friendly. All in all a nice place to stay. To add to this the weather was very good considering it was November.

We have stayed at the Queens Hotel in St Ives for a week out of season ,The Hotel is very well maintained and the service is good, The rooms are not big but for a 18th century hotel are well looked after .breakfast is good and the staff are very attentive to you. Overall a good experience.

Lets get the bad point out of the way 1st - NO PARKING!!! we parked at the railway station (approximately 5 mins away) thankfully 24 hours parking is a fiver (£5). The room (no.5) was very comfortable and the décor is fitting for a seaside location. The pub itself serves good beer and bar staff were pleasant. We were surprised... More

Second visit to this pub for Sunday evening dinner. To describe the food in one word excellent! The food is all freshly cooked and homemade. The portions are generous and the food was very tasty. That's was the first course then came the desert oh my god! It was absolutely delicious we had the pain au chocolate bread and butter... More

I visited this hotel in October so out of the main season. Its location is really good albeit there is no parking so if you are travelling to St Ives in your car you will need to use one of the car parks, the Station (train or car park) isn't far but is down/up the hill so not really suited... Helpful & friendly staff - spacious room & shower room with ok facilities - location excellent as down in the centre & very near waterfront - breakfast good & at sensible time. Was a bit unsure about access via separate door & sort of alleyway, but it actually worked well giving 24-hour in & out if you needed it. For... More
