Just come back from the Longcross Hotel today and have to say it was very good.. We had room 2 which overlooks the car park, but even so it is comfortable and spacious. The food was really delicious - we had a chilly chicken dish, some lovely fresh fish and a delicious lemon dessert.. But best of all maybe were... More

We only went here for lunch. The original building is beautiful, but the conservatory is really ugly, (inn our opinion) stuck onto the side. It almost put us off from going in, but beyond that there is an outside terrace where you can enjoy beautiful views of the coast. The service was very friendly and prompt and the food was... More

Lovely peaceful hotel with friendly, helpful staff. We stayed in the Old Stable, separate from the hotel, their most expensive room. Unfortunately the sea view from the window was obscured by old double glazing which meant the window was misted up with condensation and could not be cleared. The front door could also do with replacing to create a better... More

Thank you for your feedback. Having now been to inspect them, I completely agree with you about the front door and window in The Stable. I therefore have already appointed a joiner to replace them! Advertised as detached it is a short walk from The Stable to the front door of the hotel when prevailing weather conditions are clearly beyond... More

We stayed in room 4 for two nights at the end of march this year. The room is spacious and the bed comfortable (and massive!). The room had all the amenities you would expect. All members of staff we encountered we're very helpful and courteous and the food amazing! My wife and I would definitely recommend this hotel for it's... More

I stayed in the hotel's adjoining house enjoying all the comforts of the first floor suite (sitting room and 3 large king-size bedrooms) over the Mothers Day weekend. My 2 year old grandson was staying with us and the relaxed and accommodating atmosphere of the hotel and their staff really made my stay a pleasurable experience. The Victorian Gardens are... More

We stayed here as part of our honeymoon, which the hotel was aware of as I had previously emailed them and we were so disappointed. As the heading suggests, it was the management that let this place down. I can't remember the guys name who we believed was the manager but we found him quite rude from the moment we... More

We are so sorry you had such a negative experience with this partcular member of staff. We have not had any feedback of this nature before so clearly it comes as big shock. I only wish I had known at the time and would have made every effort to resolve the situation and simply switched off the offending light. With... More

An offer persuaded us to book again at this delightful hotel after an absence of 5 years, the staff were very helpful and welcoming, the food excellent and the setting brilliant for the north Cornish Coast and within easy reach of National Trust properties, like Lanhydrock. The weather was not brilliant but the hotel and grounds were. Enjoy!!

Thank you very much for your kind words. We are so pleased you decided to return after a long absence, and enjoyed this visit as much as the last. We have worked hard in the years in between visits to constantly improve the hotel including our latest round of extensive room refurbishments and a big landscaping job at the hotel... More

My wife, her best friend and I, stopped at the Longcross on our trip to Port Isaac. It is a beautiful hotel in a great location, and you can walk across a few fields to get to Port Isaac. If you are a Doc Martin fan, there is no better place to stay. The rooms are roomy and well appointed.... More

A very quiet and tranquil hotel located in the Cornish hills, a drive to the coast. We had room 1 (I think), a very spacious room with a very large bed and lovely view to the sea with a sofa to curl up on too but TV was too small for the room! Not much help given when we asked... More

So sorry about the bikes situation. we do have a secure room but I am pleased to report that we have never had any incidents of theft from our hotel. We agree with you about the TV and will be providing a larger one. Glad you like the bed, the breakfast and the view. More
