John and his family were running the hotel while we were there. Paul was away that weekend. We weren't sure if our taxi was going to come at 5:30 in the morning to take us to the airport so John was ready to take us. Such amazing service! The B&B was very nice and centrally located in Port Isaacs. The... More

So much fun to visit this little seaside town which my husband & I were introduced to through watching the Doc Martin series on Netflix & PBS. It seemed so quaint & beautiful that I talked my husband into renting a car & driving to see several of the beautiful Cornwall area towns before meeting our daughter's family for a... More

The owners are lovely, breakfasts, really tasty and the hotel certainly overlooks the bay. However, it is tired and although asking for a front room for the view, we didn't feel like enjoying the balcony as the furniture needed scrubbing along with the railings. The bathroom had a damp smell because of carpet near the shower which was continuously damp

Port Isaac is “Port Wenn” in the popular TV series “Doc Martin”, and the Bay Hotel fits into its amiable, quirky character world perfectly — indeed the building has apparently featured in it. Booking a few days there was the perfect surprise treat for my fiancée, a (US) West Coast devotee of the programme, and in every way both hotel... More

Had a very nice three night stay , Paul the owner was very friendly and made you feel very welcome as did Gino his great Dane! Stayed in room 12 which I think is one of the smallest rooms but is clean and tidy and being on the second floor had a great side view looking out to sea with... More

Pleasantly eccentric owner. Definitely meet Gino, the great dane - he is special. The hotel, seen in Doc Martin, is small and has a small private car park - which is necessary in the village. great breakfasts - try his porridge. We had room #5 which had a balcony and great views.

Stayed here for 3 nites, glad I had booked a room with a balcony , not cheap, lovely view. It was one of the better rooms as our friend had one which not good bathroom was awful. Glad I wasn't in that. The whole place could be nice with a refurb I'm sure. As it's up for sale I'm sure... More

Clean , comfortable beds and a very yummy breakfast.Amazing sea views from some of the bedrooms . We have stayed within Port Isaac on many occasions. This was our first stay at the Bay Hotel and it was a very enjoyable one. Paul and his staff gave us a very warm welcome and nothing was too much for us during our four nights there. Our rooms 6 and 7 had beautiful sea views across Port Gaverne. Will... More

We were bought a 2-night stay by our children (long grown up!) for our Christmas present. Drove down to Cornwall, leaving early Good Friday. We were warmly welcomed by Paul and Gino even though it was only 11am. Paul had upgraded us to a bigger room, on the front of the house overlooking a stunning vista of the bay. We... More
