Superb room looking over the village of Port Isaac and the sea beyond. Could have sat in that window for a week just watching the world go by. Nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was awesome, only slight, was it was a little rushed. Hadn't finished my cereal when cooked arrived. All in... More

So pleased I did not look at recent reviews before we visited the Slipway Hotel as I may not have bothered going! We have just enjoyed a lovely meal there and considering we booked a table for nine (three of which were children) none of us had a bad word to say! The food was really delicious and the friendly... Been to Port Isaac before and like the previous traveller, left the car at the top of the hill! Clean, spacious room, with great shower, what more could you wish for! Didn't eat at the Slipway but judging by the amount of people who were eating on Saturday night food must be good. Definitely stay here again.

If you want a hotel in the centre of a busy fishing village, with the incumbent noise and activity - this may be fine. However, you will suffer sleepless nights due to the bar noise until 1130 at night and fishing activities commencing about 5am! I know that the hotel cannot control the various activities of such a village, but... More

Having been to Port Isaac many times before, but never stayed, we knew what to expect about the car park, walk (though really not far) and size of the village (small) - the Slipway was lovely. We paid the extra for the front facing room and the view was fantastic - well worth the extra. The room was small but comfortable... More

on wanting to visit this restaurant due to the great tastecard offer of 50% off total food bill and the location we were very excited to take my son for his birthday treat as he loves seafood. the service was good if a little disorganized but the food itself was the worst i have ever experienced and even with the... We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel, our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff were helpful and nice! We ate in the hotel restaurant which was quite surprising! We were expecting perhaps 'pub grub', but we got a lot more! Well presented and delicious restaurant food! Although, port issac itself is very pretty, but nothing to really... More

We'd endured quite a long walk from the main car park into the village, and felt in need of food and something to drink. Port Isaac is a lovely village with quite a few restaurants. We opted for the Slipway because it was on the harbour. We'd already eaten a fair amount of fish during our holiday thus far, so... More

They're taking advantage of the Doc Martin thing in such a shameless way that is hard to believe: £150 per night for a 2m x 3m double room where you can hardly move or put your luggage anywhere! And they didn't even clean the carpet or replace the wet towels for the 3 days of our stay!! It is indeed... More

After seeing the show Doc Martin we just had to come and see this pictures s fishing port. The Hotel was old but romantic, the food was very good, the views around Port Isaac are out of this world with old building and narrow roads with just enough room for one car. You don't an alarm clock because the seagulls... More
