The hotel is very nice, and the staff are friendly and geniune. The food is excellent and there is little to complain about at this restaurant. There is no parking, but once you have been here you'll know why. Parking is fairly close up a steep hill, but it isn't too bad and the views from the top are impressive.... More

My family had a deeply disturbing experience at the hands of staff in The Restaurant @ The Slipway in Port Isaac last night, and the owners have failed to respond to my letter. At first all was well. The welcome was warm and relaxed; the starters excellent, especially the mussels. The chef was flexible and considerate in making a special... More

We had a wonderful room overlooking the Port Isaac harbor above the cozy pub with both indoor and outdoor seating. The included breakfast was also delicious and very traditional. My wife had the vegetarian breakfast and I had the kippered herring fried in butter and both were wonderful. We also had dinner in the elegant upstairs hotel and very much... More

Right on the harbour front, but suffers badly from inevitable population of sea gulls and their need to do what come naturally. Totally understandable as its is a live fishing harbour and accepted, however we had a room with a lovely balcony but windows had not been cleaned in days and were covered in it! Could hardly see out, this... More

Really enjoyed our stay. Everyone very friendly and welcoming. Bar used by locals which gives a friendly local atmosphere. Breakfast was lovely. We stayed in room 1. A very spacious room with balcony overlooking the Slipway with en suite bathroom. Room bedding and ensuite was clean and tidy. Toiletries provided were made at local herb farm for the Slipway which... More

We randomly decided to stay in Port Isaac one Saturday and found The Slipway Hotel on the corner. The staff were really friendly and we were able to get a room without prior booking. The hotel feels old and cosy with low ceilings and beams, which just adds to it's charm and the beauty of Port Isaac. We stayed in... More

This hotel badly needs updating. Our room (and I suspect this applies to them all) was very dull and the shower room inadequate. The water ran hot and cold and the area was far too small. There is space to increase its size and I suggest that is done asap. The dining room was very dated and consequently hardly any... More

We went in the pub for a beer and it was completely characterless. Echoing and empty with rather run down toilets. Apparently the gents was dilapidated too. Reasonable beer, but many better places to go in this rather pretty village.

Had a lovely couple of nights at the Slipway. Great staff, very flexible as had to change dates at the last minute. Stayed in the annexe, lovely room, we have stayed in the hotel previously so made a change. Good breakfast, would recommend .

We stayed here for two nights in February. Port Isaac is a lovely little village, full of friendly people and with lots of places to visit nearby. We were put in room 15 which is in the lifeboat building next door which was very comfortable with plenty of room including a spacious bathroom with bath and very good shower. Even... More
