What a let-down! We slotted in a couple of nights at the Slipway during our recent holiday and could not have been more disappointed. None of the charm and class portrayed by its website, indeed the very opposite. The hotel is shabby, the restaurant unappealing, the room (No 4) tiny ( to describe it as a double room is pushing... My husband and I stayed here over the Bank Holiday Weekend as a last minute get away. All the staff were very polite and helpful. We stayed in the room above the kitchen Room 2 I believe it was. Clean and tidy with a nice view from the window overlooking the sea and part of the town. Room service can... More

This is not a modern hotel so don,t look for anything special But this is a good character hotel set right on the boat ramp right in the heart of the tiny village The rooms are small but comfortable the shower and toilet is extra small if your a big person you probably won,t fit We had the upstairs front... Stayed for one night only last night and the Slipway Hotel to be extremely overpriced, shabby and dirty. For £150.00 the room (no. 2) was extremely small, the bathroom the size of a closet, the floor was extremely uneven, the room looked like something from a student hostel. Our room was one of two that face the front with a... More

Superb room looking over the village of Port Isaac and the sea beyond. Could have sat in that window for a week just watching the world go by. Nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was awesome, only slight, was it was a little rushed. Hadn't finished my cereal when cooked arrived. All in... More

So pleased I did not look at recent reviews before we visited the Slipway Hotel as I may not have bothered going! We have just enjoyed a lovely meal there and considering we booked a table for nine (three of which were children) none of us had a bad word to say! The food was really delicious and the friendly... Been to Port Isaac before and like the previous traveller, left the car at the top of the hill! Clean, spacious room, with great shower, what more could you wish for! Didn't eat at the Slipway but judging by the amount of people who were eating on Saturday night food must be good. Definitely stay here again.

If you want a hotel in the centre of a busy fishing village, with the incumbent noise and activity - this may be fine. However, you will suffer sleepless nights due to the bar noise until 1130 at night and fishing activities commencing about 5am! I know that the hotel cannot control the various activities of such a village, but... More

Having been to Port Isaac many times before, but never stayed, we knew what to expect about the car park, walk (though really not far) and size of the village (small) - the Slipway was lovely. We paid the extra for the front facing room and the view was fantastic - well worth the extra. The room was small but comfortable... More

on wanting to visit this restaurant due to the great tastecard offer of 50% off total food bill and the location we were very excited to take my son for his birthday treat as he loves seafood. the service was good if a little disorganized but the food itself was the worst i have ever experienced and even with the...
