The Slipway Hotel was perfectly placed to take advantage of this delightful little harbour village. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and our room was as quaint as you would expect in a building of this age. The harbour view room had wonderful views with all the amenities cleverly built into the quirky space available, just be careful when... More

A characterful, welcoming pub with perfectly acceptable four-star accommodation and excellent food and drink. Our second-floor room looked out over the main street and the harbour, with the open sea in the distance. One note: there is no parking in Port Isaac itself, so you have to park on the edge of town and walk the 400 meters down a... More

We ignored all the negative reviews and were so glad we did. There were a group having fun on the Sunday when we arrived, which continued on into early evening, but it didn't cause us a problem. We stayed in the family room at the very top, which was fab. It had a small lounge separate from the bedroom and... More

We booked several rooms here recently to attend a wedding. Knowing a few local folk, we knew what to ask for. There is a lovely large, newly refurbished room at the back of the Lifeboat House which is lovely and if you don't mind a bit cramped, a great sea view room at the front of the hotel section. All... My wife and I stopped here earlier this year as part of the South West Coast Path walk. Port Isaac seems a rather obvious place to stay, a stunning location, recent TV fame, and positioned as it is, most walkers will choose it. We paid more for this place than any other night's accommodation on the entire 630 miles route... More

We stayed in the lifeboat room comprising two bedrooms and a living room. The second bedroom had two bunks but we just used the main rom. The bedroom and living room open out onto the tidal harbour. Just twenty feet from the water at high tide the sound of the water and the view was wonderful. The bed was large... More

So glad we weren't put off by the negative reviews. Stayed for 6 nights in Room 1. The Slipway was clean, the staff were courteous and the food was delicious. Port Isaac is a gem of a place to visit. Would thoroughly recommend a holiday or short break here.

I must have stayed somewhere else as the moaning reviews prior to this did not reflect my experience at all. I had a lovely stay, with really pleasant staff. Nice beer and lovely food, the steak being spot on. I stayed on business and will be booking again, without hesitation. If you had to push me for a negative I'd... More

I have visited Port Isaac many times over the past 20 years. The Slipway Hotel came highly recommended in a May 2014 edition of a national Cornwall magazine as 'one of five best Cornish B&Bs'. How only five months can make a difference! I stayed for one night in early October 2014. The clue was obviously in the hoarding at... More
