My boyfriend and I stayed here in August 2015 and we only stayed 1 night as we were travelling around the area. It's a small little hotel and as it's such an old building you can expect a few quirks. Yes the room was small, but it was clean, the bathroom was clean and towels were fluffy and again very... More

We booked through booking.com and you don't get as much information on parking/location as on the website itself. We had a slight mismatch of expectations but once we got over that all was great. Even though it's stated on their website, a courtesy email to set out exactly where you need to park, and that you'll need cash or the... More

The slipway is a friendly, authentic hotel right in the heart of Port Isaac. Looking out onto the port and the fishery, surrounded by all the 'Doc Martin' landmarks it's perfect for exploring the little village. The food is excellent, especially he breakfasts, traditional Cornish with local ingredients or delicious smoked kippers. Bathroom was tiny and room a little small,... More

The location is great, with the harbour a few seconds walk away. The room was a little small, especially the bed, but then again OH is over 6ft. The breakfast was good and also the evening meal in the restaurant and staff were pleasant and helpful. As others have said, there is no parking so you either have to walk... More

The rooms are OK, the restaurant also. The breakfast fine. And the service also fine. But if it was not for Doc Martin the rooms would be at least 50% lower in price. You stay there for Doc Martin and the scenery and the proximity to the harbour. But if you cannot drive very narrow streets, with barely room for... More

Hotel location is great - right down in the heart of the harbour and village. But my goodness this place has seen better days. I don't mind old fashioned. But I do mind mucky. Every surface was dusty or sticky. And the bed was terribly uncomfortable - small and hard. We braved breakfast, but fortunately were able to dine next... More

We booked the slipway, as we had booked to visit Nathan Outlaws Restaurant ( at the top of the hill). We stayed the Friday and Saturday night and had to change rooms each night as the rooms were fully booked, but this was sorted seamlessly by the staff and was not an issue, the second room we had was very... three nights and two of us in the lifeboat suite, which consists of a bedroom with a full bed and windows that open over the harbor. adjacent to the room is a living room of sorts with a decent desk, fridge and comfortable couch/chairs. very nice tea service. bathroom is very nice, re-done. would have been nice to have the... Had 2 nights here in a twin room with my daughter - location excellent - right at the harbour and the centre of activity - breakfast ample and fast and hot and varied - rooms are basic but very much in keeping with the location - I would recommend to friends for a short stay

We booked online just before we arrived at Port Isaac after calling to ask a few questions. We were told that we would have to park at the top and carry our bags down the hill. Nevertheless we booked. We discovered subsequently when we overheard another staff member, that we could have driven most of the way down with our... More
