We stayed at The Cornish Arms whilst on a nostalgic tour of Devon and Cornwall and we were especially looking forward to our stay as this was where we became engaged. When I booked our one night stay I spoke to Felicity and told her of our plans. She was very pleasant on the phone and said she looked forward... More

After escaping the crowds at Port Isaac we opted for a drink and lunch at the Cornish Arms - and we're so pleased we did! Felicity and Jon were very welcoming and friendly and we had a delightful and beautifully fresh lunch. Then Felicity went out of her way to help us find accommodation in Padstow where we were heading,... More

This place is exactly what you'd expect a quaint cornish inn. On the plus points it has a lovely beer garden, nice old feel to the place and good atmosphere. The young blonde girl working there was a delight and did everything she could to please. The decor had been well thought out but had obviously been done sometime ago... More

We booked to stay here for a weeks holiday and unfortunately had to leave after a couple of days due to a family illness. The landlady was very unpleasant about this and had no concern for my sick parent. We were pleased to leave. The family room was over the bar, which didn't close until 12.30 both nights and next... We found a lovely spacious room with ensuite as requested, clean and very comfortable. Our hosts Liz and John went out of their way to make us feel "at home", including a freshly prepared evening meal. Only 3 miles into Port Isaac from memory where we explored Doc Martin territory. Would not hesitate to recommend.

I really have no idea what all the negative reviewers are on about, though they seem in some cases particulalry pedantic. I travel frequently for Business and stay in top hotels all around the world, people should compare like with like. This is a charmingl Cornish Pub (which means dont expect sanitised modern and characterless) in a beautiful part of... More

without predjudice. (* = Pictures available) The rooms are very very dated and in need of a full refit. Bedroom window was dirty with cobwebs * carpet was dirty* and the electric kettle (that was old and leaking) and TV both had out of date pat test stickers* . I took my little dog who is a very clean animal... More

Not what I expected dogs running around and it was smelly. The bedroom windows was not cleaned and windowsill was dirty carpet dirty. The toilet brush was very dirty and no toilet paper holder just placed on top of the toilet. Not worth the £95.00 per night. Need to up date there website.

We are presently walking the coastal path and had to come inland for accommodation. Well it is lucky we did otherwise we would not have had cause to cross the road and visit the Cornish Arms. The food was very tasty, the main course menu more imaginative than expected; my partners moules were succulent! I had the steak sizzler: it... More
