We had the misfortune of going to the Port Gaverne Hotel 2 days before. It was over priced, pretentious and the food was poor to average. We won't mention the service........ Tonight we went to the Cornish Arms and it was the total opposite! Friendly, warm and top notch food at a good price. When the owner told us they... More

If you love fish, Cornish coastal villages, doc Martin and a good atmosphere then the Cornish is for you :) ... What a great view and some of the craft ales are superb. I can imagine being snuggled up in this place with a roaring fire in winter with the Cornish coast whistling a chill outside. I love it

From the outside this small hotel does not look like much but this was such a wonderful surprise! Our room was large and very nicely decorated. We had a distant view of the ocean. The restaurant/pub downstairs has amazing food and the owners are such fun people and very helpful. We stayed two days and would have stayed longer had... More

All I can say is, what an awful place. Firstly the shower in room 7 is a death trap - not sure if it complies to British safety standards so beware! Secondly both myself & my partner were so ill with diarrhoea & vomiting after eating part of a breakfast that we also noticed everyone left the sausage. Totally not... More

Going on previous Trip Advisor reviews, we visited for dinner. The pub itself is basic, but the service very friendly. They have added a Thai menu to the traditional pub favourites. Tried the Thai.Sharing plate starter - excellent! The Pad Thai main course was wonderful. Ignore previous reviews - give the place a try.

Has the looks of a traditional old English pub and when you enter again the quintessential feel is “Old school rustic” man propping up the bar with his dog, dodgy juke box, pool table, all checked and in attendance. We arrived around 1230 lunchtime, barely a soul in the place and we turned up en masse, around 25 of us.... More

Was here last week, never before been moved to use tripadvisor. This place leaves a lingering bad memory. So close to Port Isaac and really should be better. Dreadful, over priced food, run down and dirty premises, ignorant landlord and dramatically over priced drinks. Avoid at all costs.
