We spent one night here (to visit Restaurant Nathan Outlaw - see separate review). It’s true to say the hotel has “character” (as has Port Isaac) and it is about half way up the very steep road from the beach to the cliff tops (where the restaurant mentioned above is situated). Getting into Port Isaac was an adventure as our... More

We loved staying in the Old School Hotel in Port Isaac. Big fans of the Doc Martin series, we watch back in the US. But the village is completely charming and quaint, and a fantastic place to unwind. Take in the hike up the hill at the cow pasture to see the beauty of the village and harbor. Old School,... More

'Art' is a very spacious and comfortable room, scrupulously clean and tastefully decorated. It has great views across Port Isaac harbour and a shared terrace. The hotel is run in a relaxed but very professional manner and the food is as good as, if not better than, the overpriced upmarket restaurants in the village. Would definitely stay again, especially if... More

The hubby and I stayed here as a child free birthday treat weekend and to be honest, we couldn't have wanted for more. On arrival we were given the ins and the outs of the hotel and offered a table for dinner, which we accepted and then went off to explore the area. Located on the hill at the start... More

This place needs a refit, cleaning and re-pricing. It's well over priced for what it is and takes advantage of it's location. Rooms dated, you can hear everything from other rooms and the fittings are cheap. Just pay more and stay somewhere else. Simply awful.

If you're going to visit Port Isaac (and why not, it's beautiful) then this is the place to stay. Village was just down the hill and the view from our room was stunning and the building is full of history. Strong smell of fish in the restaurant but it is a fishing village. No room for large cars either in... More

This is a lovely quirky building, nicely done up with exceptionally friendly staff. The only draw-back was that our room was rather small, however it was nicely furnished and had a view of the sea. It's a good place to stay and enjoy Port Isaac.

An absolutely incredible boutique hotel offering stunning rooms - The art room we stayed in was gorgeous, with private decking (shared with maths and music rooms) and an amazing view of the harbour. They were filming Doc Martin during our stay - I believe it features as the school in the programme - so that was rather fun. However, don't... More

We booked the Latin Room overlooking the harbour in Port Isaac. We watched the tides come and go and the fishing boats end up on the sands, then refloat - such fun and very relaxing. The room was large with a sofa facing the water and had huge windows which made the room lovely and bright but also heated it... More

Stayed for one night 24th Jun. Fab place to stay. Only hotel in Town with onsite parking. Food in Restaurant is superb, don't bother looking elsewhere. Doc Martin walk expensive at £10.00 pp. Overall experience was 10/10
