My party of 8 had spent a great day out. We called in to the lovely Port Isaac to stop for dinner, we spotted The Old School and decided to call in for dinner with 4 children age between 7 and 9. This venue though pleasing decor was not enjoyed by our party, we entered by the back lower doors... More

August is our busiest month and we are serving anywhere from 80 - 200 people per night. We try to serve everyone who arrives and fit them in if at all possible, although the best way to guarantee a table would be to book in advance. We are open all day, serving lunches, then cream teas & sandwiches in the... More

Stayed here for 1 night early July. Parking was very limited so beware that only selected spaces are allocated for the hotel. On arrival we were well greeted by the lady at reception. We stayed in Geography, which was smaller than I expected. Bathroom was small but clean, as was the bedroom. View out of the window was of a... More

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Old School Hotel. Port Isaac is such a pretty place and of course it was great to look around the town where Doc Martin is made. Staff at the hotel were friendly and the breakfast was very good. We had the evening meal as well which was also good. Of course this is an... More

The hotel was everything we could hope for - clean rooms, friendly staff and an amazing view of Port Isaac. The breakfast, which is included with the price, is delicious and provides the perfect base upon which to hike the nearby trails.

We had an overnight stay here. Four of us [incl two teens] were in the Mathematics room. Open plan with a bedroom for the kids, overall good size, wi-fi and well kept. If staying in this room be aware it does have a very steep staircase to the loft bathroom and there are a number of stairs to the room... More

After my husband and I watched the tv series doc martin, we made it our mission to find the beautiful location of port issac. We were thrilled to discover that the old school house was a bed and breakfast. We vowed we would return one day and stay in the old school house. We booked two rooms one for us... More

Firstly, the History room is not advertised as having a shower, just a bath. It does have a hand held shower hose on the bath, but we wouldn't and have never said this is a 'shower'. 'History' & 'Latin' are the only two rooms we have without showers. Being a grade 2 listed building built in 1874, the sound proofing... More

Stayed for one night in cosy but very comfortable room. Great breakfast, friendly staff, enjoyable stay. Fanstastic location right in the middle of Port Isaac. Rooms all named after classrooms. Free wifi. Would stay there again.

We could not recommend this hotel highly enough. We got upgraded to 'Latin' on our arrival. Fantastic view across the harbor. The color of the water is amazing. The breakfast was yummy. The staff were all so friendly. The bed was very comfortable. Lovely toiletries in the bathroom. Spotlessly clean. We will be back!

Having stayed here in 2011 on our first trip to Port Isaac, we had to come back to the Old School Hotel on this second tour. As per last time, we stayed in the 'English' room, which is directly behind the top of the arched Gothic windows overlooking the car park. The most fabulous views of the port, plus the... More

During our trip to Port Issac we decided to pop into the The Old School hotel for a cream tea. The surroundings were nice the staff were also, the cream tea its self was tasty, and we enjoyed it. The cream teas were advertized as being £ 5.00 which we thought was ok. When we came to pay this is... More
