Dropped in with my partner and a friend for a cream tea. The surroundings were pleasant and the staff were welcoming, however the quantity supplied was barely adequate. 2 scones each is standard, but insufficient jam and cream, and the tea was just enough for one small cup each. Why skimp on something so basic when an extra tea bag... More

Spent a night here on the 22nd Feb in the French room. It was a simple room but very nice. Had a small window looking out to the sea. The bed was very comfortable and we slept very well even though it was raining very heavily through the night. The shower was good and bathroom clean. Had a very good... More

Port Isaac in January is beautiful! No crowds and we were practically the only guests at this fantastic hotel. There is a selection of rooms available here with sea views, and it is clean and comfortable. The staff are lovely, as is the great restaurant. We dined here both nights, the mussels and fresh seafood (locally sourced) were the best... More

My parents and I are fans of Doc Martin and chose to come to Port Isaac because it is depicted as being such a beautiful place on the TV show. It is just as beautiful in real life! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the "English" room and had fantastic views over the town and waters of Port Isaac. All... More

Perfect location for a hotel, with on-site parking, rare in Port Isaac. Warm welcome took us to our room, the English room. It was well-appointed but such a shame the room lacked anything relating to its theme:nothing to link it to 'English', wasted opportunity. Lighting for reading was poor, there was no source of heat in the bathroom, not even... More

I was so excited to finally get to visit Port Isaac after years of watching Doc Martin. When I found out that the school in the show was actually a hotel, I had to stay there. I was given the Religious Studies room, that has great views across the harbour toward the Doc's house. The room was very nice and clean,... More

A wonderful time was had. The staff so friendly, helpful, and attentive we could not have asked for more. Food was very good pleasant on the eye, very tasty. Room was clean and cosy, views across the bay. We stayed for a couple of days over the new year. Really recommend this hotel. Huge thanks to all the staff who... More

We live not far and took our relatives just for a day out. We stopped for morning coffee, mince pies and cream. We then showed our relatives the sights and returned for a great lunch. The home made bread was particularly superb. And whilst we were they they had just taken delivery of 2 new sofas perfect for lounging back... More

Lovely hotel, very welcoming, individual and full of character. Second stay, but certainly not the last. Worth upgrade to larger rooms. Breakfast superb, as was dinner, only problem was not enough room for pudding!

I stayed here this week with my husband and young son. We booked the English room. The room was lovely the views are fantastic you can see what is going on all around the village. The bathroom was great and very spacious. There was tea and coffee making facilities and a small fridge. There is plenty of room for three... More
