This is a pub with real atmosphere. Warm and welcoming with newly painted interior, cheerful and helpful staff plus a great menu! Knocks the rest of the 'early closing' Polperro pubs well into the shade!

Oh my god, what an amazing pub, the new landlady Meranda had done wonders to the decoration. Staff really friendly and made us welcome. What can I say about the food, just star quality and great choice of home made food, would strongly recommend the curry - out of this world. If your thinking of going to Cornwall just say... More

I am appalled by some of the miserable s**s who have placed reviews. If you want Ritz facilities etc. go and pay Ritz prices. This is an unpretentious, honest to goodness good vlue establishment. Though I have never stayed overnight I have eaten here many times over 20+ years and have never yet had a 'dud' meal. Quality is always... More

Polperro is a lovely place to stay, but the accomadation we stayed at was basic & very cold :( as the central heating was not working & had to make due with an electric heater which was explained why! We had the four poster bedroom which thought we may have got a view of something but to our utter dissapointment... More

A few years ago I wrote a review on the Mill House saying how wonderful the establishment had become and how the food had improved ten fold. This year I have to say I was terribly disappointed on what I would describe as a decline in service. I am only commenting on the bar here as the service I received... More

Staff very helpful and friendly. Good value and can definitely recommend the scallops! Nothing too much trouble for staff, especially helpful when our little dog was attacked in a nearby pub by a staffy, thank you everyone, Indi now recovering but unable to trace owners of staffy. Will definitely stay at Old Mill House again soon.

Centrally located in a lovely village. I took advantage of the resident's 10% discount on food and drinks. It seemed that there were only two staff on duty - one in the kitchen and one covering the bar and serving in the restaurant which made dinner drag out a bit. The rooms were adequate but a bit tired

I've never stayed here but have ate here many times, most recently on August 25th. I had the Chicken Rogon and my girlfriend had the venison. Both meals were excellent quality and good value. There are lots of good places to eat in Polperro and this is as good as any of the typically more expensive places. Highly recommended Mike... More

After reading previous reviews I didn't really know what to expect but if you stay, be prepared. Breakfast ok, we were given what we asked for. Dining area/"restaurant" was in dire need of cleaning, cobwebs and dust everywhere. Bedrooms were accessed via a side door in between the pub and dining room with the window to the dining room boarded... More
