The staff at the adjoining hotel where you book in are very friendly and accommodating. Accommodation is very clean and comfortable. My son and I had a wonderful time, plenty to do and see in the surrounding area

Arrived after a very long day, met by freindly receptionest, after booking in let my self in with initial thoughts confirmed by other reviews. The loby had s slightly odd smell. As other reviews found the room small and could do with a good cleaning. The ensuite shower and toilet room had a mildly unpleasant smell, the toilet needs cleaning... More

I had read the other reviews so did not expect too much but was quite content with the room. We had an early sailing to the Scillies the next morning and the situation was excellent. The room was small but was perfectly clean and we noticed no odd smells. There was plenty of storage so it is not like we... More

So after seeing the hotel and thinking great, was then given a key fob and told what room we were in, no help carrying luggage or even shown the room, but to be honest, if I had to show a room that small I probably wouldn't be to keen either. Basically big enough for the two of us to walk... More

I stayed at the Guest lodge Penzance, whilst working at nearby Heamoor for a week. The rooms are very small, more roombed than bedroom, but the decor is clean, simple and stylish and there is plenty of storage space to hang clothes and stow cases. The bathroom style high windows in the room are a bit strange and they make... More

Guys, this is what it is - A cheap place to sleep. No, the attention to detail is not astounding and yes, it does whiff of damp a bit but what did you expect?! I paid £55 for a double room, it had a fridge, a TV, tea and coffee making facilities, a shower and somewhere to get my head... More

We booked a room with a double bed. There was a mouldy smell at the entrance of The Guest Lodge. The room was small with a small double bed. The room would have been more appropriate as single. The mattress was on boards and should been discarded long ago - most uncomfortable and I eventually got 3 hrs sleep. Duvet... More

When you arrive at The Guest Lodge Penzance, at first you see a nice hotel on the seaside (The Beachfield Hotel). Then it dawns on you that what you are actually looking for is the shabby two-storey building in the back alley behind it. There is no reception, to check in you have to go the Beachfield's reception. The hotel... More
