This hostel is excellent and is way above other hostels that I have stayed. It is very clean and cosy and most of all very reasonably price. Toilets are clean, kitchen is excellent, living hall is very good and WIFI is fantastic. Although it is a backpackers hostel, it is in no way near to it. Rather it is like... More

The best hostel we've been in the last few years. Matt is a very welcoming host. Cleanliness is exceptional as rooms and facilities are cleaned daily by the host himself. Beds were comfortable as was the sitting room and the kitchen where you could socialize with fellow guests. A very friendly environment with the train and bus station 10 mins... More

Brilliant hostel! I stayed here with a few friends and was impressed with how Incredibly clean the backpackers was with great services, great communal areas and friendly staff who are more than happy to help. I will definitely be staying again next time I'm in the area.

Stayed here for a night before getting the ferry to the Scilly Isles which proved a practical option - about a 15minute walk to the pier along the seafront. Hostel was clean and practical with a well equipped kitchen. Hosts were very helpful providing advice about places for dinner in town.

This small hostel was exceptionally clean and friendly. The price for a private room is extremely good and the kitchen is well equipped. I would not consider staying anywhere else in Penzance if I returned.

I stayed at PZ backpackers for 3 nights in the mixed dorm. The location is convenient. People who stayed there were very friendly and cool. The kitchen is one of the highlights! Definitely I will stay PZ backpackers again if I go to Cornwall in the future.

I stayed at the Penzance Backpackers for 2 nights in early August, and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I got the number 6 bus to just before Alexandra Road from the main Bus/Train station, but the 1A bus would drop you off closer to the Backpackers - I had a heavy bag, so I was glad that I had not had... This was our second visit to PZ Backpackers. We last visited 2 years ago and liked it so much we came back! We had a very warm welcome from the young hosts - a smile and a cheery welcome is always appreciated. There is by far the nicest communal kitchen I have ever used with everything you could need to... Stayed here with 6 friends on a Friday night in July to make a trip to the Minack Theatre. Couldn't fault the place. To be honest we were out most of our stay, however the rooms were neat and tidy, the en-suite bathroom was clean with a good working shower and there was free on-road parking outside. For only £16... I've stayed at a few backpackers places now and have to say this was very good for the price - £16. I'm not a lover of sharing dorms with strangers but this is part of the territory and we had our own bathroom in our dorm which was a definite plus. There are double rooms available for a higher rate.... More
