I stayed at PZ backpackers for 3 nights in the mixed dorm. The location is convenient. People who stayed there were very friendly and cool. The kitchen is one of the highlights! Definitely I will stay PZ backpackers again if I go to Cornwall in the future.

I stayed at the Penzance Backpackers for 2 nights in early August, and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I got the number 6 bus to just before Alexandra Road from the main Bus/Train station, but the 1A bus would drop you off closer to the Backpackers - I had a heavy bag, so I was glad that I had not had... This was our second visit to PZ Backpackers. We last visited 2 years ago and liked it so much we came back! We had a very warm welcome from the young hosts - a smile and a cheery welcome is always appreciated. There is by far the nicest communal kitchen I have ever used with everything you could need to... Stayed here with 6 friends on a Friday night in July to make a trip to the Minack Theatre. Couldn't fault the place. To be honest we were out most of our stay, however the rooms were neat and tidy, the en-suite bathroom was clean with a good working shower and there was free on-road parking outside. For only £16... I've stayed at a few backpackers places now and have to say this was very good for the price - £16. I'm not a lover of sharing dorms with strangers but this is part of the territory and we had our own bathroom in our dorm which was a definite plus. There are double rooms available for a higher rate.... More

We stopped at the Backpackers as an overnight stop on the way to the Scilly Isles. On arrival we kept missing the owner, so couldn't get in, but as it was a lovely day, we ambled down to the seafront and took a look at where the ferry sailed from in the morning. The hostel is spotlessly clean, the owner... More

The guy who runs this place is super nice, and very organized. He cleans the place every day which makes a huge difference. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is a good system for labeling and storing your food. The beds are standard beds you'd find in most hostels - not amazingly comfortable, but not bad. The internet was... More

3 of us came to Penzance for the first time last November..actually, we didnt book a room because we thought it would be easy to find a hostel there. But we were wrong. This backpacker was pretty big, clean, but hard to find and quite far from center... Yeah we like it, but one advice for tourist. You should book... More
