Just had 4 nights at Queens, booked through Majestic. Our first room didn't have a bath, but there was no problem in changing rooms. Yes it's a bit old fashioned but lovely and clean . Beautiful white fluffy towels changed each day and the food was excellent . The staff are lovely, really friendly and helpful. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay... More

We had a lovely stay here. We booked at the last minute after a stressful few weeks which meant we just had to get away, and got a great deal given it was at the end of the summer holidays. The room was lovely and had a really nice view overlooking the promenade. It was in good condition. The communal... More

My partner and I booked a 4 day 3 night self drive through Majestic Tours over Valentines weekend. The hotel was very nice and in a nice location right on the sea front and about a ten minute walk to town. When we arrived we parked easily and reception gave us our room key. My partner had emailed ahead and... More

I'm so disappointed with this hotel, the room was awful, it was dingy with pink carpet and horrible yellow walls which obviously haven't been painted for years, a double bed that had a velvet effect blue 1980's headboard and all the dark wood furniture is rickety and mis matched, The ensuite was so tiny and old fashioned, it didn't even... Ivy, We are glad that we 'have got it right' in your eyes and also pleased that you will be returning. We welcome pets at the hotel, as the area is well-suited for animal lovers. Our great customer care is often commented upon and, as you mention, all our fish is freshly caught. See you again soon. Regards, Nigel Pengelly. More

We have visited this hotel over many years, hotel, restaurant, bar, formal and informal functions, large and small gatherings of quite grand or more intimate nature. One as to say in truth that the service and facilities have varied quite widely in quality from time to time, BUT: the overall/net impression has been one of a prestigious hotel which has... More

On checking in I was asked if I was having dinner in the hotel. Once I said no I became invisible. I booked a room with a sea view. Old sash windows rattled and the hotel had a "old hotel smell" about it. Soap holder over the bath fell off and the room was exhausted not just tired. After queueing... More

4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2015

Stayed 19-23 Jan 2015 on a self drive Majestic Holiday. We had a wonderful time and will certainly be returning. Location is brilliant as are the staff. The breakfast and evening meals are to a very high standard. The sea facing room we had was large, clean and warm. Couple of small niggles but too trivial to mention. The conservatory... More
