Maravel cottage is an enchanting place to stay. It is set in beautiful gardens and the hosts are lovely. Whilst at a road it is surprisingly quiet and the road cannot be seen due to huge hedges. I better don't praise too much as I want them to have a vacancy when I want to go again next!

We started our trip around Cornwall at the Maravel - and what a start ist was with three nights in that beautiful and spacious room with en-suite bathroom, the lovely house with its enchanted garden and the really delicious breakfast (we loved the fresh fruit-salad). But the best was our hostess Rosemary with her great hospitality and kindness. It was... More

I haven't stayed in a B&B for years and was so pleasantly surprised, I asked myself why I hadn't done this in a long time. I only stayed 2 nights but it felt like a week because of the peace, the beautiful garden, the lovely breakfast, with the home made yogurt and fresh coffee. I highly recommend Rosemary's place as... We found Maravel by chance and what a find. Rosemary was definitely the " hostess with the mostess" with many a funny and interesting story to tell Our 10 day holiday stay will be one we remember with fondness for a long time to come. Beautiful garden full of every species of plant ( which Rosemary is very knowledgeable about... More

We spent only one night at Maravel Cottage in Rosudgeon, even arriving after dark. The rooms are really lovely with en-suite bathroom. Everything in a nicely maintained condition. The breakfast was one of the best during our journey through England :-) That includes the fresh fruit salad and fresh coffee. The garden in front of the house is nicely designed... More

We had another delightful stay over Easter at Maravel cottage near Penzance. Rosemary's breakfasts are superb, and as a special favour, one of the breakfast eggs was the product of a bantam hen who resides a coop called "Omlet". The accommodation, as well as being very comfortable, is also fascinating with numerous collector's items on show. Rosemary and Steve are... More

We spent three nights at Maravel Cottage, the room was very comfortable, clean and nicely furnished. The food was marvellous, freshly cooked locally sourced full English breakfast also real fresh fruit salad and home made bread, yoghurt and marmalade. We were made to feel at home by Rosemary and were very reluctant to have to leave.

Earlier this month we came across Maravel cottage, but it was very good luck for us after a long and tiring journey from the north of England. The accommodation with its private bathroom and WC (with a bidet) was charming as well as comfortable: the bed was excellent. The house is beautiful with so many really interesting ornaments and elegant... More

Stayed at Maravel with my family for 3 nights in August. It was wonderful - the cottage is beautiful and the gardens are lovely. The rooms were fantastic, we had both the family room and the double room and both were very clean clean and very comfortable. The hosts Rosemary and Steve are lovely and the breakfast sets you up... 3 nights spent at Maravel were a total pleasure. Spacious, clean, beautifully furnished in a typical English manner, plus excellent breakfasts, and the most friendly and attentive service from Rosemary. Well placed for visiting the most westerly part of Cornwall. We shall definitely return! Marian and Gabrielle, Switzerland
