A splendid Queen Anne residence, with lovely grounds, that has been in the family for many generations. The place is within easy reach of several fascinating Cornish destinations such as Land's End and St Michael's Mount, an increasing number of "foodie" coastal spots, and artistic attractions such as the Tate in St Ives. Definitely worth the long journey to one... More

It's not often that you chance to stay in a stately home and meet the family who own it. The buildings, furniture and potraits exude history and the owners are happy to show you around and tell you fascintaing tales of the family hsitory. Huge bedrooms, well appointed bathrooms and well presented breakfasts. Good local guide book on where to... More

Beautiful house and grounds, luxurious room, huge bathroom with quality locally made toiletries. Wonderful cooked breakfast with home made bread and medlar jelly from the orchard. Excellent balance of character and 'mod cons' eg powerful shower. The owners were extremely helpful and kind. Would recommend to everyone.

Had a one night stay at Trereife House recently and it was lovely. Warmly welcomed by the owner who walked us around to the rear of the house, the room faced the courtyard wall but this was expected from the booking information so no surprises there. The room was simply but comfortably furnished, The bed linen and other soft furnishings... More

What a lovely house and charming family. Nicely appointed room with quality bathroom fittings. Breakfast was very high quality and served in a lovely room. Only suggestion is to buy a few self inflatable aerobeds for kids, the camp bed was for the knackers yard!

We were welcomed by the owner into this residence that seemed to be beautiful. Beautiful garden, beautiful entrance.... but our room was in the rear: it was small with simple furniture and the windows in face of the wall. After the dinner we parked the car but there were no lights in the square to see the look door. Really... More

After a friendly welcome by Peter, we were shown to the Wordsworth Room, comprising a large bedroom - with an extremely comfortable king size bed and two window seats - and an equally spacious ensuite bathroom. There was a palpable feel of being a guest in a stately home. We also enjoyed the gardens of this Queen Anne manor house.... More

We were welcomed by the owner into this wonderful manor house. We had the Coleridge room and loved it immediately. It is very spacious with a great 'Queen' bed. Exceptionally clean, original fireplace lots of tea & coffee (not the usual one or two) a very comfortable room with a sofa at the foot of the bed. It also has... More

We stayed in the Wordsworth room in the main building and were immediately captivated by the authenticity of the place. Everything is clean and comfortable, however it is not a cellophane-wrapped experience, and you have to accept one or two rough edges. For example the bathroom suite is old-fashioned but everything works and you get a good hot shower with... More

Trereife House (pronounced Treave), a beautiful centuries old family owned Estate, steeped in history, is being lovingly restored by the 7th generation family and is now open to the public. The house and grounds offer an unforgettable setting for almost any occasion, warmly hosted by the Le Grice family, Tim, Liz, Georgie and Pete and their faithful hound Duke. The predominantly Queen Anne Manor House, which in parts dates back to the reign of Elizabeth 1, and the formal gardens, are set in rolling grounds, in the stunning countryside just outside Penzance, South West Cornwall. The location affords easy access to the beaches and the many other holiday attractions Cornwall provides, as well as a quiet retreat in the country, we have easy access to the main trunk roads and railway connections and Newquay airport is also within easy striking distance. We offer self-catering holidays on the estate, and bed and breakfast in our Queen Anne Manor and converted courtyard block. We regularly host country fairs, concerts, functions and other events and provide a unique setting and facilities for unforgettable weddings and other important occasions.
