My daughter wanted to celebrate her graduation from Oxford with "a relaxing (non-city) trip, where she could photograph nature and see for herself a heath, a moor, and a cliff." Our three night stay at Ennys highlighted our visit to bucolic Cornwall. Off the main road that winds through the quaint town of St. Hillary lies a narrow and private... more

This place is great from the lovely spotless romm s to the afternoon teas and deliciouse breakfasts. It is set in the countryside so that you feel you are away from the bustle of people. Everybody else staying there was a return visitor apart from us. The beds are comfortabel and the towels soft and thick. Gill is a great... more

Our 5 day visit to Cornwall was plagued by dreary wet weather but we hardly noticed because our accommodation at Ennys was so outstanding - sophisticated elegance blended with eclectic charm, immaculate rooms, crisp white linens, lovely gardens, original art by local artists throughout the house. Breakfasts were perfect, offering a varied menu from porridge to poached eggs with soldiers... more

Having read the other reviews, I was surprised by our experience at Ennys. My husband and I stayed for 3 nights, and found the setting lovely but the hospitality lacking. Ennys is about a 15 minute drive from Penzance, reached via a long, narrow driveway. There is ample parking onsite. Our welcome by the housekeeper upon our arrival was brusque... more

Ennys is a nature-lover's delight with a beautiful mature garden by the attractive Georgian house at the end of a long private lane. You can stay in the main house or in one of the suites outside. Our room in the house was decorated beautifully, the bed was very comfortable and we were delighted to find a selection of good... more

Ennys is private, quiet and elegant. The grounds (pool, tennis court, gardens) are lovely and welcoming. It is within easy driving distance of St Ives, Penzance, The Lizard and Mt St Michaels. Gill has thought of everything a guest might want: sophisticated, delicious breakfasts, printed tour maps, suggestions for dinners, internet access, spotless rooms with lots of hot water and... more

Ennys is a true delight. The rooms are small but well furnished with wonderful crisp white linen. The bathrooms are as modern as they can be in a period property. The swimming pool is wonderful (but a little shallow) and the gardens are well maintained. The breakfasts are fantastic, even for vegetarians but most importantly Gill really makes you welcome,... more
