From the moment we arrived both steve and ellen were not only accommodating but were polite and pleasant throughout our stay. The rooms were very clean and well presented and the food quality was excellent and value for money. The surroundings and scenery were excellent with it only being a stones throw away from the sea front. The parrot was... More

This was the most expensive B&B by far that I stayed in so was expecting something a little special; I was disappointed. Shabby decor and decoration, the room was full of furniture, breakfast bar and small fridge so very little room to move around. The shower room was reasonably clean but there was an unpleasant smell. Nowhere to put toiletries... More

We arrived to the awful overpowering smell of a permanant glade plug in. We were shown to the room which had awful decor. The carpet was like a jigsaw and was in various bits. None of the furniture matched (possibly furnished via a charity shop). Of the two windows one was painted so it didn't open and the other wouldn't... More

A great guest house. in a good location just of the promenade and only about 10 minutes walk into city centre. We found it a perfect base to explore not only Penzance but the rest of Cornwall. The rooms clean, tidy and nicely decorated. We had a family room which was spacious enough to store all the extras you would... More

On the 23rd & 24th August 2010, my Husband, myself and three good (American) friends stayed here as part of a 2 night stop over in Cornwall. At the time of booking the only available room left was a family type room. This room consisted of a double bed & single bed with en-suite and then off this main room... More

Stayed for 3 nights in a family room overlooking the tennis courts. Room was clean but cramped. The decor was not great, shower very poor, shower door did not close, room smelt of smoke and was just not what we expected for what we paid. On the plus side the beds were very comfortable and location good.

I stayed at the Duporth Guest House during July 2010, intending to photograph, review and sight-see Cornwall and the south-west. I was passed on to this guest house after my initial choice was fully booked (I didn’t book in advance but just turned up!). They had one single room left which was more than enough for my needs. Comfortable, quiet... More

Impressed by the fully stocked and topped-up fridge making self catering a breeze. Wonderful sea views and a tennis court adjacent - the owners would gladly supply a couple of rackets and a ball if you wanted to have a go! Excellent location - 10 seconds from first pub, 1 minute from the Promenade, 3 minutes from the town centre... More
