On arrival to the Surfers Hotel we were greeted with a warm smile and easy check in. Little did I realise at this point, that this family-run hostel was going to remind me of my boarding school days... what a lovely reminiscing feeling! The car park was small and I was asked to leave my keys at reception in case... More

We dread going to Newquay lol only becausetheres always a nightmare at the hotels we stay at BUT to say that this is a sufers lodge type hotel it was actually really good lol - 24 ubar for residents only, pool, snooker, air hockey, sofas, full bar, pizza all night, hot showers, decent beds and cool staff. Right over the... More

Would've had a lot more to say about the hotel had the young man on the reception refused to phone the police after I was assaulted outside. Wouldn't stay again purely for that matter. Cheap enough I guess but after being treated the way I would be highly unlikely to stay again.

The hotel is pretty cheap comparing to the last minute booking. Most of the guests are men while we are women. The hotel was so noisy. We heard other rooms knocking the doors all night. The bed was not clean. We all felt itchy in the morning. The hot water in the shower was horrible. It was too hot to... More

I booked this hotel for a last minute trip without reading the reviews properly and it cost me £130 for two nights. The good thing about this hotel is that it is near the centre of Newquay, now for the bad things. A sign in the bathroom states 'not drinking water'. A sign in the room tells you that if... More

Firstly, if the price is too good to be true, there's usually a good reason for that. With Surfers Hotel, that's exactly the case. Don't expect £25 a night and 5* accommodation. Secondly, the hotel actually isn't a hotel, it's a hostel. A hostel that probably hasn't seen any renovation since the 90's. The shower in our room had no... More

Me and my boyfriend came down for 2 nights and we absolutely loved it. It's in a perfect location, right in the middle of town and a beach called lusty glaze which we spent most of our time at. It's got a fantastic bar/lounge area and a really relaxing and comfy sitting area. A games room with 2 pool tables... More

Great location just out of the noisy centre of Newquay but with plenty of bars n restaurants on the same street. Huge and ultra comfortable lounge and bar area which is open 24hrs, also bar snacks n freshly made pizzas. By the way never heard a sound from the bar when we were in our room. Huge TV in relaxing... Before I start don't expect 5 star treatment and spotless facilities for 15pp per night. This is basically what you need for a cheap solution to a large group of lads or ladies who want someone to stay for a couple of nights while visiting Newquay for either surfing or drinking or both! The rooms are not bad, toilets need... More

The hotel is in the perfect location overlooking the beach. It's a 15 minute walk into the main town and through to the main Fistral beach. It is perfect for people who intend to surf as wetsuits and boards are dirt cheap to hire for people staying at the hotel. Food and drinks are available 24 hours a day. The... More
