We spent last week Mon-Fri 28/01/08-1/02/08 @ The Beresford, Newquay. Booked through Shearings, definately a 9/10 ( well who gets a10?). All inclusive break, meals great with good choices. We stayed at the Beresford Hotel Newquay last week. We booked with Shearings in the paper work it stated hotel may be unsuitable for people with walking difficulties.I thought this was the position of the Hotel ,not the interior of it. The hotel was tidy, the staff were wonderful and the food was great - the only thing wrong was the lift (too small - not a lot of good if you are slightly clastrophobic , arthritic and on the thrid floor) but would recommend it anyway, especially if you are slightly older. more

There was 4 of us with ages from 70 to 77yrs and not having been to Newquay before was pleasantly supprised, unfortunately the weather could have been better.The Shearings organisation was first classfrom Streton back to Streton with only one complaint,the coach drivers first stop was at Sedgeburo on the M5. This entailed approx 3.5 hrs driving without a stop.... more
