4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

Stayed here on a Alfa 5 day break. Yes the hotel could do with a little updating, but it is a well run hotel. Food very good with choice and our waiter James was excellent and very funny also, in a nice way that is. Decent size room that was kept very clean. Would stay here again.

Just spent 6 nights at this hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly. There was a good selection of food. The room was very clean although it was rather small, the beds were comfortable. The hotel had just been refurbished. The entertainment was good. Our waiter James was the highlight of the day. He was very helpful, always laughing... More

We stayed at the Eliot Hotel for 3 nights the second week in August. We were visiting Newquay with our grandson aged 7. The hotel could do with a bit of TLC, but was clean and the staff very very nice. We had a large double room with another room adjoining with a single bed for our grandson. It was... More

This hotel idealy situated to Newquay town centre but the first thing you notice how dated it is. Don't get me wrong it is clean and pleasant but it is more suited to the older generation. My shower didn't seem to want to get hot before 5pm for some reason and the rooms are very warm? Overall a ok stay... More

Yes, the hotel is very outdated and tired out. We went there for 2 nights and when we got there, no body even greeted us or welcomed us. The lady just gave us the hotel key and thats it. In all fairness the staffs weren't rude...thank god for that but they weren't bothered for customer service either. It seemed they... More

I was shocked to read your review knowing how good the staff are at the Eliot Hotel. They are always extremely friendly and welcoming and I knew that something was amiss when I read what you have written. Apparently all was well when you checked in and you were chatting and happy with the receptionist. Your mother went to the... More

Just returned from a 6 night stay via Alpha Travel to the Eliot Hotel in Newquay. All in all we had a wonderful time. Yes, parts of the hotel may be a little dated in some peoples eyes, but, the decor was very acceptable and the place was very clean. Our room was 136 (1st floor). Very clean and tidy.... More

Just returned from a eight day ALFA coach trip. The hotel is dated, The overall impression that there was a general shortage of staff - meal times were designated in 20 min intervals - Breakfasts were OK, but the evening meals were dreadful, so we upsticks and ate out. Polish staff with a basic knowledge of English - Entertainment -... More

Stayed here for 4 nights as part of package with Alfa travel. The holiday itself was good. The hotel was not of a standard I would normally choose to stay. It was very dated and food plain not much choice. Meals felt rushed and times not flexible. Staff seemed very busy but on the whole friendly. The rooms were clean.... More
