Staff were funny, helpful and friendly. Room had everything we needed, plus a few more beds. En suite in the room with shower was ideal and appreciated. Check in/out was simple and easy. Good value for money. There was a breakfast bar in the hotel which we didn't use but helpful to have. No parking but lots of residential streets... More

Our weekend break was booked for 2 nights for 10 people. The price was very reasonable, the rooms were clean and tidy, a real bonus is the ensuite in the dorm rooms which we were not expecting. The staff were really very helpful during the booking process and throughout our stay (Particularly Jody). Our surf lessons were booked with the... More

You'd think 13 guys on a stag do could put up with the most basic of accomodation. We only discovered that we were sharing 2 rooms once we arrived - bunk beds sqeezed together with a tiny toilet/shower room. The reception staff were very nice however. My bunk was next to the window, which when I looked out, I discovered... More

Me and my partner stayed in a double room on the top floor. The room was great with lots of space, you had basic facilities like tea and coffee in the room. The only negatives was there was only 1 plug socket in the room, there was also no coat hangers in the wardrobe. Our room was also not serviced while we were there. Things... More

We were booked in for two nights, paid up front. We made the mistake if reading trip advisor before we left and all the terrible reviews our true! We checked in and were shown to our room by a very polite girl and were shown to the door of our room. We opened it and were immediately shocked. Two empty... More

Stayed here on a weekend away for my birthday with friends. It is ideal for people heading out on a night out. Room was clean and bathroom. Couldn't hear anyone else coming in from their nights out so slept well. Would stay again and have recommended to others.

I wasn't told this lodge was a hostel so when I first walked into the room we paid for, I was shocked and quite upset with my boyfriend. Our room was at the front with the big windows with frosted glass. 10 bunk beds for 1 couple, 8 single beds and 1 double. The bedding wasn't the nicest but useable... More

Booked this Surf lodge as part of a Stag weekend away based on a previous stay and website details. The day before we left I phoned ahead to check out the checkin time and also to confirm the booking. To which I was told yes we have your booking checkin is at 5pm but your room is ready. Day of... I booked a week's surf and stay at Reef for my partner and I and we loved every minute of it! Although there were not double rooms left the company went above and beyond effort to book us a three man room but not allow anyone else to book in so it remained private, and we also had the shared... I stayed at the end of July 2013 with a stag party. The bar wasn't open as the lodge had recently changed hands but that wasn't a problem as the lodge is in the perfect location in town. In fact it probably helped keep the lodge relatively quiet last thing at night. The staff were extremely nice and gave us... More
