Stayed in the hotel for 2 nights earlier this week. A no frills hotel with 2 significant advantages a) Stunning views of the Atlantic shore and b) Easy access from the town. Friendly staff who go all the way to take care of guests. 28 rooms with individual names for each room, quaint names based on local environment. Restaurant and... More

2 months before my sons wedding at the Glendorgal I was informed that the self catering accommodation we had booked a year earlier, in the grounds of the Glendorgal, had been sold. Other guests as well as the bride and groom, had nowhere to stay! No suggestions of possible alternative hotels were made, causing a great deal of stress to... More

In general, a beautiful location, friendly helpful face to face staff, clean room, nice breakfast, BUT let down down by extremely poor management. I have been to this hotel about 3/4 times in the past for christmas parties, and have always found it excellent, although room stayed in one year awful. This time however, before we even arrive at the... More

As a user of the holiday accommodation at Glendorgal we have access to the grounds and facilities. Generally speaking our experience has been a good one and there is no doubt the location is a stunning one and the staff are helpful and courteous. All the more pity then that the overall impression is spoilt by a lack of attention... More

An older hotel, but very comfortable and cozy. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and plentiful. I stayed four nights and had a wonderful view of the sea. The floors in the room creak a bit like an old farmhouse, and it has the fell of an old friend. I highly recommend the Glendorgal Hotel... More

I am extremely sorry to have to write this review as 'poor' as the view from this hotel is simply stunning. However our room was very 'poor' indeed. We visited the Glendorgal for a wedding and had booked a room at the beginning of the year. On booking it was absolutely explained to me that the room was usually sold... More

Went for one night to attend a great nephews wedding. From the moment we arrived we looked after and made to feel special. Nothing too much trouble. The reception catering was first class and I realise this was arranged for us, but the breakfast next morning was cooked to order and mouthwatering. Do visit you won't be disapointed.

Stayed 1 night on business. Fantastic location. Pretty decent full english as well. Bring your wetsuit and take a swim. Rooms are clean with adequate facilities. I had lots of space and the bed was very comfortable. Would recommend this hotel for business or adults wanting to explore the area. Parking is good. Bar and restaurant area are comfortable and... At first sight, great location top views. And for us that's where it ends. Some points 1. Would have been more comfortable sleeping on the Floor! Had to INSIST on a replacement, which was found about 4pm next day. 2. Peak Season ! Understaffed in ALL areas including Housekeeping and the Bar /Resturaunt 3. Over priced for meals and drinks (BUT... More
