Stayed for a family wedding which involved a dinner the night before. Service was very poor and took 4 hours to provide 3 courses. Food was terrible, salty and family received dinners At Different times. Bar staff for the whole weekend including during the actual wedding couldn't be bothered and we kept being ushered to different bars where there was... More

Had a family wedding here, the setting is really lovely, the food was ok and the service was average. Prices of the rooms and drinks are more expensive than you would like or expect but you pay for the view. I personally would stay somewhere else as it is a bit more expensive than I would pay and breakfast is... More

Normally I stay in UK hotels during business travels. But I chosed for myself to come back to stay in the Glendorgal just for private holiday, as well. And maybe I will take my family with me, too :) Rooms are normal and clean. But who cares? They are only for sleeping. And I slept good . But the surrounding,... More

The location of the Hotel - so close to the Atlantic - is fantastic.WOW The service was good. The food was good. My room was clean. The Stuff was nice to me. It looks like I will stay again in the Glendorgal Hotel when I come back to Newquay the next time.

Business trip. Drove 350 miles to get there late on Sunday for an early Monday meeting. Lovely setting. But that was almost as good as it got. Bar closed (Sunday off season). No food (Sunday off season). And I was about the only guest in the place. I walked into town but Newquay was closed. I could have stood in... More

Where do I start. I stayed at this hotel last year and declined to leave a Tripadvisor feedback as I thought surely my experience last year was a one off. Last year, although I booked at laterooms on the day of arrival I would still expect a high level of quality at this hotel. Last visit, a broken socket hanging... More

We booked this very expensive stay because the hotel says it has a spa We even rang to check what time it opened In reality it has a chilly pool in a dingy room no hot tub or jacuzzi at all as its been permanently removed We consoled ourselves with going into A Freezing cold sauna! which after enquiring we... Generally nothing has changed in the four years between visits-and that's the problem. Stuff that worked then doesn't. They have plumbing issues (our shower didn't drain away properly and there was (apparently) water leaking into the gym from another guest's bedroom. The room was ok until you look under the surface and then you find all the little things that... More

we had a wedding there and all stayed in the holiday cottages. The drains stunk we complained and nothing was done, I couldn't even clean my teeth as all the smell was coming up the drains, you could even smell it in the bar area. When leaving we asked to speak to the manager and where told that she was... More

Amazing setting, overlooking Porth beach. The staff were very professional, friendly and helpful. Our room was lovely but because we had booked late we missed out on a sea view (our fault not the hotels) We made use of the swimming pool which was a real bonus, there was also a gym which looked well equipped. Breakfast was lovely and... More
