We discovered The Priory Lodge two years ago and are shortly to return for the fifth time. That says everything. We've been in better rooms (just) and seen more modern Hotel interiors in general, but it is what it is and somehow it all adds up to a great place. We have spent many a happy holiday at The Priory Lodge and my husband, myself and our two children are never disappointed (infact we have just booked for this October!). Stayed here for 2 nights after abandoning the Sutherland over the road, what a difference. This place is like a proper hotel not a hostel. Very friendly staff, good breakfast with a nice view over Newquay in the restaurant, the rooms were clean and comfortable but could do with updating a bit and it was well priced. more
