Had a one-night stay here to extend my holiday. Very impressed with the contemporary décor, recently redecorated. Room comfortable and clean. Great sea view. Particularly liked the courtesy 'cake of the day' and the attention to detail throughout the rooms. Provision of local information was useful. Relaxed atmosphere, friendly owners. Excellent breakfast including smoked salmon and eggs, home-made jam and... More

My family and I are currently staying at the guest house, Andy and Emma are fantastic hosts and nothing is too much trouble. On arrival Andy greeted us and helped with our luggage and we were made most welcome. We are staying in a 4 bedded guest room with ensuite, its a lovely room with a fantastic view and lovely... More

A fantastic friendly welcome bolstered by a courtesy Cornish cream tea on the veranda with delicious home-baked scones. A pleasant room with a comfortable bed but bathroom was a tight fit although well appointed and instant hot water. Excellent breakfast of smoked salmon and eggs and mountains of fresh fruit beforehand - a welcome respite from the obvious "full English"... More

We had an excellent stay at The Cove. Our room had a great sea view was very clean & beautifully decorated. The breakfast was superb, with plenty of fresh fruit, cereals and a good choice of cooked breakfast - I had the full Cornish & my partner enjoyed smoked salmon & scrambled eggs. Emma & Andy were very helpful and... More

They were so welcoming and helpful, breakfasts were lovely, they even made our son a sausage sandwich for us to take up to him as he had trouble getting up in the morning!!!... More

Stayed for 2 nights in July this year and absolutely loved this place. Just a note to advise that this hotel is in Porth and not in Newquay itself but you are much better off here. Newquay itself is not particularly nice but Porth is much smaller and has it's own beach which is literally a stone's throw across the... More

We had a very pleasant stay at The Cove Guest House. Andy and Emma are very lovely folk who showered us with their hospitality through out the stay. Even before our arrival, they went out of their way to accommodate our needs and changed rooms with out any fuss. We enjoyed the personal touch including 'cake specials' every afternoon -nice... Forget Newquay which really is a dump and stay here. It is a lovely guest house with excellent helpful owners and the location across the road from fantastic Porth beach is amazing. The rooms are very clean and quiet and the breakfast is first class.

Charming, super-helpful hosts, an excellent location just opposite Porth beach and a reasonable price make this a brilliant find that we're certain to return to. The rooms are pleasantly decorated, very comfortable, well thought-out, meticulously clean, and show pleasing attention to detail. The decking overlooking the cove is a lovely place to be. Top-notch breakfast too. While I guess that... More

We just spent 2 nights at The Cove with our 2 daughters (4 and 8 months). It was a fantastic weekend. Andy and Emma are wonderful hosts who made us feel right at home even when we showed up 30 minutes early for check-in. They were very helpful and answered any questions we had about the area and nothing seemed... More
