We (my husband, and our friends - another couple) have just returned from an Easter break with David Urquhart Travel, staying at this hotel in Newquay. For once, (after having sought these same requests over a total of 7 previous DU holidays!) we were actually given a room on the ground level, and adjacent to our friends. (My husband has... More

We have just returned from a coach holiday to the Edgcumbe hotel and have had a brilliant time. From the moment we arrived and were greeted by Kerry Ann till the moment we left all the staff have been excellent. Kerry Ann was always on hand to help us with her extensive knowledge of the hotel and the surroundings. The... More

Me and my family (wife and baby son only 4 months old) stayed at this hotel as part of a coach holiday. The help from everyone was second to none. We were able to sterlise his bottles whenever we wanted to and the rooms were always clean and tidy. Mark the waiter was very helpful and always had a smile... More

In all fairness it was clean or I would have left, nevertheless it was an awful hotel. The price does not reflect the accommodation and the hotel needs an update. No fault of the staff who did their best. More

I too am a coach driver and had a party in the hotel for 7 nights. Not a bad word was said to me about the hotel only good things. I found the previous reviews of the hotel over the top as I had read them before leaving on tour and did not know what to expect, what I found... More

Don't read too much into the bad reviews. I travelled with a coach party and this hotel is fine. Like many British seaside hotels it could do with a little tlc in places but it is comfortable, clean, staff are excellent and the food is good and plentiful. I found my room very quiet, it was a ground floor room.... More

I am a coach driver and brought a party for 7 nights stay. The feedback I got from my party was very positive, especially about the staff and food. I will add that I have recommended to the tour operator that this is THE hotel to stay in for our groups. Only negative was the rather thin walls, so earplugs... More

I recently stayed in this hotel with my partner and wouldn’t rush back anytime soon. We booked last minute and unfortunately this was the only cheap option allowing us to check in past midnight. I could go on an on about how tacky the hotel looks with Christmas tree lights in the window, terrible décor and a truly dated feel... More
