I was pretty much bought up at the Edgcumbe, and I have to say I was very disappointed, I was really looking forward to going back and seeing what had been updated, little has been, it needs a bit of a shake up! However if you are looking for an excellent location, a little out of town and are not... More

Could really do with an update. Stayed Friday to Monday. Room was clean and very big (room 56) but bathroom floor needed replacing as did the windows as the seals has gone. The windows throughout the hotel need replacing and a coat of paint and repair work outside is needed. The lift is old old old and can only be... More

I have been to and stayed at this hotel a few times. Varying rooms, some nice and some not so nice. Good selection of drinks in the bar, nice ball room with decent entertainment. Food is nice, and if you order wine the waiter allows you to taste before you buy. When its a nice summer day the hotel location... More

I have contacted the Edgcumbe hotel on two ocassions about our stay, and have had NO reply. We have visited this hotel for over 20 years. The Edgecumbe hotel has been our favorite hotel for many years and after struggling to find the money this year we were thoroughly disappointed with our whole stay. Room 34 had long blonde hairs and... More

so the building isn't in great condition, but for the price they charge, and being 5 minute walk from Newquay town centre, and the beaches and having it's own pools, indoor and out, it is value for money and clean and tidy with good customer service. The staff are friendly and competent. I would use this hotel again for the... More

I have stayed at many hotels and when a guest goes down with a sickness bug everyone is quick to critisise the hotel and staff. I work in a hospital and know full well the impact and chaos that having the Noro Virus can cause. I think its unfair for visitors to write on tripadvisor about this incident when its... More

Just returned from 4 day stay at this Hotel. The damp musty smell was noticeable the minute we stepped inside the front door. The presence of 'air fresheners' scattered throughout the lobby area showed the Hotel staff were aware and conscious of the smell. The carpets, decor and general appearance was grubby. The beds were lumpy and everything seemed shabby... More
