We were looking for a pleasant one night stay in Newquay and booked in at the Winward as their website was encouraging and their location overlooking the bay, appealing. As there wasn't a huge difference in price (£20ish) for a sea view, we opted for that. On the positive side, the location is good, the owners and staff, friendly, parking... more

We stayed at the Windward for two nights in one of their sea view suites. The room was very clean and it had a very nice terrace with views out to sea. The room was quite small and seemed to have to much furniture in it. The decor was a bit too chintzy for our tastes but it does look... more

Having just spent 3 nights at this lovely Hotel we are returning again next month!! Our room No.10 overlooked the lovely Porth Beach and being within a stones throw from the island we were able to take some lovely walks and enjoy the beautiful sunsets. The standard at the hotel was second to none. The proprietors were most welcoming and... more

We stayed at the hotel for 7 nights. The service was first class, the room was spotless with plenty of drawer and wardrobe space. Sue and Paul were excellent hosts and with Graham serving a supberb breakfast with a fantastic outlook over the bay, we could not have asked for anything better. After a previous report we were worried about... more

I have stayed here on and off for many years, and have always wanted to come back. This is one of the friendliest, cleanest and most helpful hotels in Cornwall. In the last two years unfortunately I have had to stay alone, but found by staying here that this was no problem whatsoever. I felt safe, comfortable and relaxed knowing... more

We booked this hotel as we were going to the Jamie Oliver Fifteen restaurant and needed somewhere nearby to stay and were very disappointed. The B&B we were originally booked in had to cancel our booking and recommended The Windward Hotel as an alternative, I looked at the website and booked a 'sea view suite' and from the pictures and... more

We booked the family room for just one night. It was a tad small with two double beds in it. On the other hand the room was spotlessly clean. The owners were very friendly, without being overbearing. Breakfast was excellent, but reasonably speedy (important when you have two, small children whose interest in the scenery is limited to about 60... more

We stayed here for one night only. We were greeted by one of the very friendly owners who quickly made us feel at home. There is a lovely 'homely' feel to this hotel and we wish we could have stayed longer. It was very easy to find from Newquay Airport which was one of our concerns. Anyway,we checked into our... more

We had a pleasant stay here for two nights. The place is very nice by the seaside. The carparking was good, the rooms clean and the staff friendly. The breakfast was good and they have a nice system with the bar where you basically take what you want/mix your own drinks at the bar etc. and put it on the... more
