The location was perfect for a quiet break. 2 mins from the beach, the restaurant overlooking the sea. We stayed in a double room overlooking the parking which was very small, but generally clean. Tea/coffee provided. The breakfast was a mixture of cereal/jam buffet and a'la carte hot menu, well cooked and very tasty. Its half an hour walk away... More

We arrived at the Windward at 1400 on 19 Aug 15. We were met by Tara the Manageress who was pleasantness itself. She welcomed us and showed us to our room (3) on the first floor. This overlooked a caravan site at the back of the hotel. The hotel is well situated and easily accessible but a bit remote. Our... More

Just returned from a 4 night stay to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary; Honeymoon Suite given to us as a free upgrade (beautiful room with a balcony and stunning sea view) bar, dining room and bar terrace all have sea views. Staff all very welcoming, spotlessly clean in all areas. Complimentary champagne on ice waiting for us on our Anniversary day,... More

We had a great stay in this small but lovely hotel. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious each day. The reason for not giving it a five star is because they ran out of a couple of things for breakfast. The rooms are small but comfortable. Unfortunately, we didn't have a sea view, but the... More

Stayed here for three nights in August. Had a valley room, so not sea view, but still a good view of the countryside. Hotel was very clean and staff attentive. The room was very big with large bed and settee. The downside being the old fashioned doors, I was quite surprised by the locking mechanism, you had to lock them... More

Stayed here for two nights in June. The photos on the website looked beautiful, and they didn't fail to match the hotel upon arrival! Placed very close to the beach, this hotel has stunning views of the Porth Beach and coastline. The welcome we received on arrival was warm, friendly and we really did 'feel' welcome - a valued guest... More

We have stayed in hotels all over the world over the years, but this place < although small >, is one of the best. Excellent service, SUPERCLEAN room, and all round friendly. Great great views, and wonderful breakfast . We will return, thats for sure.

We walked in without a reservation at 6pm on Sunday evening after viewing a really bad Hotel just up the road . We were offered a Superior room @ '£140 a night with a lovely balcony over looking the bay ,What a stunning view ! . Although we understood that it was Bed & Breakfast when we asked about the... The Windward hotels sits in Porth, a twenty minute stroll from the centre of Newquay. Lovely views across the bay. The host Tara Brown was not on efficient and helpful but a very pleasant manager who went out of her way to may this a very pleasant stay. Nice clean room and a lovely breakfast (several options available). Nice, well... More
