We stayed here for one night whilst walking the coast path - it was our splurge of luxury in the middle of the trip. The hotel is right next to the beach and is really well appointed. There is internet access, laundry facilities, a small pool and various terraces. The service was really good and yet at the same time... more

Fab! We took our dog with us so were limited to room type. We had a standard room on the ground floor which was perfect as we had doors out on to the garden which was great for us, dog and little one. The room was small, especially as we had the travel cot up as well, but actually it... more

We booked the 3 night accommodation/dining break through Travelzoo and stayed in the hotel itself rather than the Coach House. The room was spacious enough, the bathroom excellent having a large separate shower enclosure as well as a bath. Unlike a previous poster the windows did open but the one drawback was the television. There was a very limited choice... more

We stayed at WGB hotel on the dining deal which I thought was good value. We could only get a standard room in the main hotel which faced the back. I knew this was so and was not overly fussed when we arrived. The room standards were very good. Apart from having no air con (and our windows did'nt open)... more

We have stayed at this hotel twice in the past year. We have enjoyed both times and it seems to get better each time. We stayed using the taste of the bay deal, which is great. The rooms were fantastic, much better than the three star rating, however the pool could do with an update for the non-beach season! The... more

We have just returned from a fantastic holiday at the Watergate Bay hotel. It was perfect for our family - right on the beach with spectacular views - especially of the sunset every evening over the beach. The food was great, service very friendly. Our 4 year old son loved the outdoor pirate ship play area and couldn't wait to... more

Having been a regular WBH visitor now since the early 90's its good to report that year on year they iron out more and more wrinkles - only area really last year that needed improving on was food choice/range and we found the food this year to be of a much improved standard both in quality and choice. Service levels... more

We spent a very happy bank holiday weekend at the Watergate Bay hotel. It's a very convenient 5 minute drive from Newquay airport (but you don't hear aircraft). It's a great spot right on the beach, in a small cluster of buildings, one of which is Jamie Oliver's 15. Room was great for our kids, aged 6 and 8. Bunk... more

This is our second visit to the Hotel, within 10 months and it again surpasses the standards the majority of other Hotels provide. It was our 40th WA. Friendly staff, good food, reasonable priced drinks. Bright and airy, contemporary furnishings and designs. Spacious bathroom, Stayed in 22 this time 21 last time. Superb views, really quiet neighbors. Love the feather... more

This is an excellent family hotel for grown-ups who used to go away to great hotels to treat themselves as couples, and now need somewhere equally great for themselves - that is also more than happy to have the kids! Housed in an old Victorian hotel, the inside has now been completely modernised to provide open, friendly reception hall, comfortable... more
