With laminate floors, flat-screen TVs and a fresh purple and white colour scheme, The Metro stands out like a sore thumb in amongst the dated and faded chintz one usually expects to find at a British seaside resort. The staff are friendly and helpful, the bedrooms are clean and spacious, and the 'help yourself' continental breakfast is varied with a... more

stayed at the Metro with x2 teenagers - staying in Newquay for a National Surf Life Saving Competition. Room basic, small but comfortable. Fantastic to be able to have breakfast early as needed to be on the beach for 8.30. Plenty of room in comunal area, relaxing after a day at the beach to be able to 'hang out' and... more

Perfect little b&b. After working within the hospitality industry i know how they could get it wrong and i... more

I must say how disappointed I was with this so called "Hotel"......a glorified youth hostel would be a better classification. I took my wife there as a treat so we could rekindle our romance and the walls were paper thin!!! The beds were so uncomfortable and the showers had mould in them with little room to throw a cat. Foisty... more

Just back from a 2 night stay and would definitely return if in the area again. Had a triple room overlooking the patio/fields. Room was bright, clean and nice to have an actual bed for our toddler rather than a pull out bed. No problems parking in the front of the hotel although as we stayed in November there was... more

Booked a long weekend here in October after finding the Metro website and liking the fact that it sounded like a different twist on your typical B&B. After booking I came across some of the reviews here and started to wonder if we'd made a mistake and we'd end up being disappointed. Happy to say that the Metro totally exceeded... more

We recently stayed in the metro and benefitted for the 3 nights for the price of 2, which made excellent value for money. The room was clean and like someone else had said was newly furnished like an Ikea shrine, which was nice and refreshing. The breakfast was self service in the morning but was adequate. It was not pretentious,... more

I stayed here with my hubby, 3 year old son and 12 week old daughter. Came across The Metro while on the net and telephoned to make the booking where I was dealt with by a helpful gentleman. When we arrived at the accommodation it didnt look great from the outside. Parking spaces a bit neat for a family car.... more

Stayed here for my birthday, before we choose the hotel we did take a look at the website and it did seem quite nice but diffrent to when you get in there.
