I have not got anything good to say about this place I am afraid apart from the bread which is bought in from Chough Bakery in Padstow. When you arrive it looks very run down and not at all inviting. We almost turned around to go and find somewhere else but as it was just for one night and we... More

I should make it clear that this review and rating is as a pub only as we only went in for a couple of drinks, so I cannot comment on the food, nor the hotel side of the business Although it is a hotel serving mainly those going to or arriving at the nearby airport, it does advertise itself as... We called in to watch the football match on the TV and were made very to feel very welcome, we didn't eat, only had snacks and drinks, but the food I saw other people eating looked very good. The staff were very friendly and the place had a lovely atmosphere. Would definitely go back.

Although the decor was a little tired, the welcome once sorted out my booking, was warm. Owners were helpful, breakfast very good, Friday karaoke was fun! The position of the Inn for Newquay airport, is fantastic, you could walk it in 5 minutes.

We visited the Smugglers Inn on the way back to our camp site one evening while holidaying in Cornwall. Well..... What an absolute awful place to ever visit. If you go to every other pub in the world bar one, make sure it's this one. Don't order the steak, it will be cooked wrong. If you do order the steak,... More

This was a very impromptu stop for coffee as we arrived too early for our flight home from Newquay Airport after holidaying in Cornwall. Although it wasn't even lunch time/ bar opening time the very friendly owner gladly welcomed us in and made us fresh coffee to be accompanied by delicious pieces of cake. We were very glad of the... Lovely ye olde pub in quaint location with views across the valley to the sea. Service although very friendly was yet again let down by the 45/1hr delay "we are really busy" heard the same excuse on the last two occasions - yes height of summer but only half full - Get some MORE STAFF!! We were a large group... More

Located a stones throw from the airport, I can only imagine its proximity would be the singular reason to stay. The room we were given was clean, and the bed comfy. Unfortunately this is as far as it goes in terms of positives. The decor throughout the establishment is dated and tired. The room itself was woefully below what could... More

Went in for a family meal, staff were unfriendly and rude, the food was reheated from the lunch time carvery, we ordered a roast,£8.50 ( About £7 over priced!!!) meat was rubbery, asked for extra gravy to be told " yeah if we have any left! Had to wait for over an hour for food which is fine if it's... More

Many thanks for taking the time to leave a review. I am very sorry that you found the meal below par, but I can assure you that you did only wait 26 minutes before the meal was served from the time the order was taken. Also I apologise for your little children not being allowed to play on the pool... More

Arrived to eat at 5 thinking it was an all day venue. They were more than happy for us to sit and wait with a drink until 6 when the restaurant opened. The menu was pretty comprehensive and I was pretty impressed with the steak. Overall I would recommend the smugglers, quick and courteous service in a pleasant surrounding. Well... More
