We arrived in the middle of the summer season to an empty hotel,and it did not take long to see why. Broken glass doors, dirty rooms and light fitings caked in last seasons dust .Our bath was very clean, however the tiles around it were all broken causing yet another danger.The swimming pool was a delight, (no water) just brambles.... more

On a windy weekend (just gone) we arrived wet and wind swept. The lovely owner put the whole group up at a moments notice. We were due to fly from Newquay Airport with Ryanair who, at the very last minute, cancelled the flight. We were left stranded by this excuse for an airline but thankfully those lovely people at The Airways Hotel made a bad situation bearable. I stayed there for a day or two with my family and the new owners andy and michelle were so nice, i loved the place, best place ive stayed in in a long time. fantastic food too. i think its being renamed the smugglers inn, good name. more
