The Great Western Hotel is the perfect location for a break in Newquay. The views from the dinning room & bar are stunning of the harbour & Great Western beach. Especially so at sunset. The rooms are clean & functional. The staff friendly & helpful. The hotel offers value for money.

We spent three nights at the Great Western Hotel in Newquay last week and booked two premium rooms for ourselves and my parents. The location of the hotel is fantastic – the view from the rooms facing the sea is amazing and it is very quiet. The hotel is located at Tolcarne Beach which is close to the city centre... More

We has a great sized room with a lovely beach view and comfy bed. Great location for walking into town, just a shame there is no free parking or breakfast included but we was happy with our stay overall.

Every August my friend and I stay at this hotel, it may cost a little more than other hotels in the area but it's worth every penny. The views from the rooms if you have a sea facing room are amazing but if you don't all you have to do is go down to the Steam bar and you can... More

We went here for food. On selecting our choice i went to the bar and was told rather abruptly if your after food there's well over an hour wait!!!! Shocking really as the place wasn't even busy???? Didn't seem family friendly, tables were filthy, shame really as looked really nice from outside real let down once you get in. Needless... More

We stayed here for 2 nights. We paid for a 'superior' room, by no way it was superior! The walls and headboard were dirty and stained, the bathroom full of cobwebs and not clean and the bathroom window did not open. Neither myself or my family had any sleep due to a flimsy partition wall between the rooms. We were... More

As a keen coastal for me this hotel has everything from the widescreen tv which have all the sport to the marvellous food. I stayed in room 231 which had a sea view and it was worth it. I love NEWQUAY as the hotel is right on the coast path. I found the hotel just right, not too noisy and... More

We stayed one night in a twin room after deciding to stay an extra night in Newquay for a gig that evening. When we entered the hotel, the reception area was large, clean and tidy. We had to use the lift to get to our room on the second floor. On entering the room we were taken back to the... More

This stay was such a pleasant surprise -drove down from Southampton at the beginning of July with my partner to stay for 4 nights at the Great Western. This was my first time in Cornwall and what a fantastic surprise it was -staff were absolutley brilliant and made us feel at ease all the time - they were nothing but... More
