On arrival Chris came out to meet us and helped us in with our cases. Him and his wife Sally were lovely and so accommodating. The apartment is attached to but separate from the house and we were left to our own devices but knew that the couple were there if we needed anything. The place was immaculate and everything we needed was supplied. Sally had even left us some cake! The location was good and just a couple of minutes walk to the beach or into town. It's not the biggest place to stay and my husband found the 'bedroom' a bit cramped as he is tall and you have to bend down to get in the bed with is in a sloped loft space, but I found it cosy. Neither of us had any complaints and would definitely visit again.

We have just returned from our annual Cornish 'fix', once again choosing to spend it at Cormorant House..... we wouldn't even consider going anywhere else. Sally & Chris have become like close friends now, after returning for 6 consecutive years now. The consistency & high standards of this B&B never wane, there's all you could possibly need by way of comfort, style, welcoming hospitality & of course, a yummy breakfast. Don't think of booking elsewhere, just call Sally directly & then tick off the days until your stay. Then we will be reading your review here too. Can't wait until our 2018 visit here. xXx

We actually stayed in the self contained apartment 'Stargazy' attached to the house. Sally and Chris were great hosts and couldn't do enough to help. Lots of info on local attractions and minutes away from the beach and town. The apartment is perfect for a couple's getaway. Small but perfectly equipped with everything you could possibly need. We will definitely recommend to friends. Thanks again for a lovely stay Chris and Sally.

Just got back from our long weekend break and had a fab time! The room we stayed in was beautifully decorated and very clean. As soon as we pulled up on the drive Sally was there to greet us which we thought was great. Chris and Sally are excellent hosts and we definitely will be coming back, we don't think we would stay anywhere else in Newquay other than the Cormorant House. A short walks distance from the local restaurants and pubs, lots to do in the area. We had a b&b room which was serviced everyday - fresh milk and a tea stock up which was greatly appreciated! Sally and Chris know the area very well and gave us a lot of pointers of where to go. Thanks Sally and Chris for a lovely weekend!

Stargazy is a small sparklingly clean and beautifully appointed self contained flat with all that you need provided of the highest quality. Free on site parking and perfect location to explore the town and all the beaches on foot. Stargazing from our bed at night was a joy and Chris and Sally , the most wonderful hosts, go out of their way to make you feel much more than welcome. Lots of lovely extra touches like showing us around, shower gel and shampoo in the bathroom, milk and ice cubes in the fridge and cake on arrival! Recommended restaurants such as Kahuna and The Fish House at Fistral are a must too. We stayed for 3 nights and would go back tomorrow!

Me and my partner stayed in Stargazy rather than the B&B and we will 100% be booking with Chris, Sally and Mr D'Arcy, their gorgeous doggy, again. We stayed for 3 nights however wished we'd booked longer. Less than a 5 min walk from Tolcarne Beach in a lovely quiet scenic part of Newquay, the place was immaculate and everything you could need or want for your stay was thought of, including some special little touches that made you feel super welcome. Chris and Sally were both so friendly & knowledgeable and more than happy to help whether it be choosing the best places to eat or which beaches to visit first. I can not stress enough how wonderful our stay was, I recommend making a booking for yourself to find out :-)

My partner and I stayed in Stargazy which is a new conversion on the side of the B&B. Chris and Sally were so welcoming from offering to help with our bags to a lovely bit of cake to have with our tea after our 6 hour journey to get there. The studio was light, fresh and modern and spotless. The bed was so comfortable! we had the best night sleep. They even had the bigest visitors guide binder I've ever seen. This was brilliant as all the info about the local tour spots was all there for us. The worst part of our holiday was the 9 hour drive back to Canterbury ! Will definitely return one day. Thank you Chris & Sally x

I've been visiting the fantastic Cormorant House every year for a while now and I love it here. Chris and Sally are great knowledgeable hosts, with delicious breakfast options to set you up for the day. Ideally situated to explore Newquay and Cornwalls amazing beaches. I hope to be back soon!

Our decision to make a trip down to Cornwall was a little last minute in this instance, so we were VERY lucky that Sally and Chris were able to accommodate us this visit (given that with few select rooms catering for the most discerning guest, they tend to get booked up quite far in advance!) So I was very relieved that we were able to base ourselves at Cormorant House once again for another short but sweet stay in the area! And short but sweet it was, from the friendly familiar welcome received upon our arrival, to the pristine, relaxing and perfectly equipped room that we had come to expect - and were not disappointed. This stay perfectly met the high standards set in previous visits! And I have to add what a pleasure it was to be greeted with such a warm welcome from hosts that are both individually charming and super helpful-particularly when it comes to local aspects such as places worthy of a visit, and where to eat out (Sally even remembered that I don't eat lamb!) And location-wise, you could not ask for better, given that the B&B is perfectly situated just outside of the very centre of Newquay - avoiding the noise - but only a few minutes walk from both the town and the nearest beaches. Thank you Sally and Chris for yet again meeting the high expectations set in previous visits, and resulting in another lovely trip for us. I'm so pleased we were able to stay with you! :-)
