We booked a mid week break and had a great time. We will be returning next year with friends. We were greeted when we arrived and were taken to our room which was spacious and had a lovely view of the sea. Well, where to start. The hotel may look OK from the outside but that is one thing that can't be said about the inside. had a great time staying at the sutherland hotel. we come most years and never get tired of it. newquay is a loverly place with great beaches and good views. the family run sutherland offers fantastic value, friendly staff , good food. the top of the town pub at the hotel has a great atmoshere with locals and holiday makers.... more

Terrible.. no meet and greet just given a key, had to go to the pub downstairs shown our room, we did have nice vews and it was bigger than other rooms but it was dirty, bathroom was horrid and it was really noisey. We paid £30 each for each night and I think they do pretty well out of it... more
