We stayed for four days on a half board basis whilst on a coach package to the area. The hotel has nice views over the bay,but the hotel is badly in need of a coat of paint on the outside. Whilst there we where told by staff that the hotel has recently changed ownership. The room was ok, a bit... more

We stayed at the Cliffdene for 2 nights. My partner was doing a bike ride from LCFC-Lands End. They provided a place for the bike to be stored & locked away. Opened the bar for us when we first arrived for drinks. The rooms were spotless as well as the building its self. Breakfast was lovely, great selection & extras... more

You couldn't ask for a better location. It's close enough to the bars and beaches to make them accessible but far away enough to be quiet. You're looking out over the sea and the view is wonderful. I saw a full moon over the bay as I staggered back from the bars! It was lovely. The rooms were nice enough.... more

We had a double room booked at very short notice, the room did not have a sea view but we could see the sea by looking sideways out of the window, although we were overlooking a hugh hole in the ground. The room & ensuite were very clean & warm providing everything as advertised,(the bed was a little hard).Breakfast was good, staff very effiecient... more

Stayed at the Cliffdene Hotel as part of a Skills Coach Tour holiday. Nice hotel – fairly small (about 60 rooms in all on 3 x floors) with a lift to all floors. I had a single room, which was fine, though the bed was a bit small. Nice, good quality furniture in the bedroom (plenty of storage space), with... more

Spent four nights at the Cliffdene in early April. Friendly, clean and well situated on the front at Newquay. Five minutes walk from a great Italian Restaurant and ten fron Skinners, a real ale jazz pub. Hotel's only snags were very fixed meal times and rather too solid beds! Menu always had choice of meal - meat/fish/veggie. (Had to order... more

My boyfriend & I ended up staying in this hotel due to the other one (The Gull Rock Hotel - see my other review) being terrible and we're very glad we did. The manager went out of his way to get us a room and must have spent a good half an hour doing so! The hotel was clean and... more

I went on a National Holidays coach tour to the Cliffdene and it was one of the best holidays of my life. The staff were friendly, polite and welcoming. I had a super room with sea views and a beautiful ensuite shower which was spotlessly clean and equipped with luxurious towels. The food, both at breakfast and the evening meal... more

We have just spent 3 nights at Cliffdene and were very impressed with all aspects of the hotel, from the management staff to the waitresses in the Restaurant . They were courteous and helpful at all times and the standard of hygiene throughout the hotel was most commendable. An excellent holiday, thank you! Shirley and Anne. more
