The only positive memory would be the duck down bed pillow -all else was well under par. Breakfast was a disgrace 1st morning I asked for scrambled egg on toast, what arrived on my plate had been cooked hours before, it was soggy & tasteless. 2nd morning I went for the full English breakfast, the bacon was crisp the sausage... more

Very pleasant and obliging staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Admittedly the bedrooms could do with a little tlc but at the price we paid we had no complaints whatever. I even got to see the spacious and very clean kitchen and that was immediately before dinner. As a retired caterer with high standards, I would recommend this hotel. more

The prices are far too expensive for what you get. Breakfast was ok but nothing special and the evening 3 course meal which you... more

The Kilbirnie hotel is one of my favourite hotels in newquay, great location and facilities, lots of refurbishment has been going on over the last couples of years. I will again be returning next year more

Brilliant. Awsome position facing the sea. Polite and helpful staff and 1st class food. It represents timeless holidays in a beautiful part of the world and if Albert is still serving in the restaurant - the best cheeseboard in the west. more

After paying £110.00 a night, as we had booked through an agency we expected great value, that was a joke we had a superior room, clean but hardly superior!! One sachet of coffee each a night any more you had to pay another 50p. Doors banged and noise continued on through the night. Breakfast was a total farce, the dining... more

Stayed in what I thought was going to be a lovely newly decorated modern hotel how wrong was I! (considering we paid £100 per night, I was told it was £50 per night so I thought bargain as it was New Year, but when the letter came through it showed it was £100 per night, shame, it so wasn’t worth... more
