Visited with a friend for a weekend stay and chose the hotel because of its seafront location close to the town centre and beaches. All the hotel staff I encountered were very friendly and helpful. I didn't eat in the hotel. My room (360) at the rear hotel was clean, spacious and functional but the lemon bathroom suite and painted... More

Potenially Ideal for the slightly older generation (us 50+), then on the other hand, hotel have a (slightly dated) swiming pool & games room, which familys might find useful on those damp days?, however across the road is a fantastic beach plenty of steps to negotiate and on a dry / sunny day, a good walk in Newquay town centre... Not a bad hotel but looking a little bit tired. The service was excellent and the staff are both professional and welcoming. The hotel itself is looking a little rough a round the edges now, could do with a little TLC. I enjoyed the food which is served silver service in a rather grand looking ballroom. There are more modern... More

Had a lovely 3 day trip in this hotel to celebrate my Mum's 80th birthday Beautiful big room with sea view so we could watch the world go by. In excellent location on outskirts of town but a walkable distance in and a stone's throw from our favourite beach- Tolcarne Staff extremely helpful at all times- nothing too much trouble.... More

We only spent the one night @ the Bristol this time, though we have stayed twice previously. This hotel has classic features & could be called retro, but that would be derogatory. THE HOTEL IS A FINE HOTEL & it has a location, within walking distance of good restaurants, if you fancy getting out. Overlooking Tolcarne beach, with the sound... More

With the help of lovely wedding planner Martina, we had the most perfect wedding day! She was the most helpful person ever who was able to answer all sorts of questions that we came up with! Our ceremony was in the small dining room as we wanted a small service with only 14 guests, then it was transformed it to... More

I have stayed in the Bristol for four nights from 18 to 22 May 2015. And what a pleasure it was. I have been working in Cornwall on nights. I was never disturbed by house keeping once, they must be the quietest ladies on the planet, for a hotel of this size that was amazing. Well done house keeping. Every... More

From our arrival to our departure we were treated as valued customers! The bedroom was generously proportioned and the bathroom massive,in which the only heating was by means of an electric towel-rail......somewhat inadequate when outside temperatures dip! However, overall quality of food and faultless service more than made up for this.We would have no hesitation in returning to this hotel if... More

The hotel stands on the cliff top overlooking the sea and if you are fortunate enough to have a front room you might enjoy the view. Our room was a endless trek of upstairs and downstairs again to a rear annex overlooking the carpark. Very reasonable prices for accommodation and the food in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner was... More
