The staff were ALL brilliant. The guy who checked us in at 11pm, the cleaner who put up with our daughter going round and round in the revolving door and the staff at breakfast were all really good. The hotel is, let's be kind, functional. The rooms badly need updating. The bathroom suite educated me as to an entirely new... More

Have just returned from a weeks stay at Hotel Bristol. Highly recommended for good value in comfortable surroundings with outstanding first class service. The staff are attentive but unobtrusive, service is top notch, they cannot do enough for you. Hotel is spotlessly clean and yes somewhat old fashioned but that adds to its charm. Plenty to do, indoor pool is... More

Beautifully located on the cliff top, the Bristol offered extremely friendly service and professional attitude. Breakfast room offered friendly service and great ambience. Bar staff (Luke) was particularly welcoming. Lovely stay. Will stay here if in Newquay again.

We've just spent 3 lovely days at The Hotel Bristol in Newquay! The best breakfast we've had anywhere in along time, really friendly and helpful staff and owners, nothing is too much trouble. Gorgeous Sea View from our room and a short walk into Newquay town. They also make a fabulous cup of tea! Well worth the money. Recommended.

Hotel was fine, including car parking. However, main grouse was the poor value for money in the restaurant. Well situated near the sea, with a short walk into the town centre, where there were better value food outlets. Despite warning that I was a coeliac, they had no gluten free cereals for breakfast.

I like this hotel. It's what I'd class as a stereotypical British hotel. It could do with some modernising but this would ruin the atmosphere. Although the shower could be better with out ruining the atmosphere. On a plus note, I did manage to get my best western points this time.

Internet is too slow to get work done and room was bad. Noise levels were unbearable and did not get much sleep. I checked the website for pictures before booking, they are old. Room was very old looking and carpet was scary to walk on, very dirty. Windows rattled all night from the wind, even with a soft breeze.

I am sorry you were not happy with your stay with us. I am surprised that the wifi was not fast enough for you as your room was less than 3m from the access point. I am also at a loss to explain how the carpet can be as you described as we receive many compliments about cleanliness. As far... More

Visited with a friend for a weekend stay and chose the hotel because of its seafront location close to the town centre and beaches. All the hotel staff I encountered were very friendly and helpful. I didn't eat in the hotel. My room (360) at the rear hotel was clean, spacious and functional but the lemon bathroom suite and painted... More

Potenially Ideal for the slightly older generation (us 50+), then on the other hand, hotel have a (slightly dated) swiming pool & games room, which familys might find useful on those damp days?, however across the road is a fantastic beach plenty of steps to negotiate and on a dry / sunny day, a good walk in Newquay town centre... Not a bad hotel but looking a little bit tired. The service was excellent and the staff are both professional and welcoming. The hotel itself is looking a little rough a round the edges now, could do with a little TLC. I enjoyed the food which is served silver service in a rather grand looking ballroom. There are more modern... More
