The outside of this hotel is lovely, so we were thrilled when we pulled up in the car. That's where the pleasure of our stay finished. The receptionist couldn't find our booking, asked us the same question 3 times, despite us having all our information and booking confirmation number. Manager had to come and save the day, it would help... More

You get the feeling the town and the hotel have seen better days. The Victoria was probably a fine hotel...back in Victorian days. Everything now clings to a quiet desperation. The old sofas. The creaky lift. The pokey room. The lady serving bacon and eggs to the masses for breakfast. Dinner we explored the town. Pizza Express has a 45... More

Friendly staff lovely feel to the hotel and comfy rooms. Lovely spa treatments and enjoyed relaxing in the pool a whirlpool. Fabulous Mexican on site. Close to the city centre so walking distance to all main areas.

Got married yesterday at the Victoria in Newquay which we booked over a year ago. I have nothing but total praise for the Hotel and their excellent staff. Throughout the build up we were looked after with complete professionalism by Zoe who planned the day to perfection, from canapes and Pimms on the lawn to a lovely wedding breakfast. Particular... We tried to check in at 2.30 but were told to come back in an hour as or room wasn't ready so we left our bags and went for a stroll around Newquay. When we got back, we checked in. Despite travelling by motorbike, we still had to pay £5 for parking even though we didn't use a space in... More

Booked a family room during our 3 night stay in April. The room was huge, much bigger than family rooms in other similar hotels. The décor was sort of Victorian, but slightly dated. The reception staff was very helpful and courteous. The room opened to a common balcony facing the sea (well, almost.. ) All in all, a pleasant experience.... More

Literally just got back from the legacy, we were greeted by a very rude receptionist called Amy. She argued with us,not a very good service, the parking is poor for £5 a day. Overall the hotel was very worn and dated which you can you can understand to a degree but there was no reason for our room carpet to be... More

My boyfriend and I stayed in this hotel for a weekend in the summer. The hotel was easy to find and we managed to park even though it was a very busy festival weekend (parking is £5 per day). The reception staff were lovely, and our room was huge! Everything was very clean and cosy and the bed was extremely... More

I booked this hotel through later.rooms online for a 3 night stay at the end of August for myself and my boyfriend. On first impressions we were disappointed with the outside, the hotel is in a nice location but its very tired. In its hayday it would have been a very grand lovely hotel but its past that now. Our... More
