Stayed here for one night, the rooms were clean (carpets need some attention) but beds were comfy and sheets clean. For the price we paid cannot really complain and the breakfast and cream tea was brilliant value. Would stay here again for the right price. Found the staff welcoming and helpful. Could do with some updating in parts of the... More

We stayed at this hotel on the 22nd and the 23rd of January on a Spa weekend that was gifted to us on a Groupon. When booking as soon as i mentioned i had a Groupon voucher i was spoken to in a disgraceful manor and treated like i had some sort of disease and not worthy to stay in... More

Stayed for 2 nights lovely stay fab rooms great location. Had a pregnancy pamper at the spa which was fab swimming facilities excellent. Shame the hot breakfast was a buffet style and on both days was not very hot and the breakfast room was cold as well not helping the food stay warm. Choice of fruit and yogurt poor.

Don't be put off by the poor state of the building, the extorsionate parking charges (£10 per day) the lack of attention to detail in general, the staff and especially the cheff more than make up for it, what we thought would be a bad experience, transformed into a good one.

Spent two days here last minute wonderfully relaxing in delightful old elegance. Highly recommend it. Enjoyed afternoon tea into the lovely longer area. Didn't use the gym or swimming pool but many did and thoroughly enjoyed it. The view of the Atlantic ocean from our room was delightful to see and here and at £49 for two nights room only... More

Very welcoming, helpful staff, one of our party had a problem with their shower and was moved to a different room immediately, lovely sea view, rooms nice and warm and clean, breakfast very nice, a bit disappointed they didn't serve a buffet breakfast on the Monday morning.

This is a beautiful old hotel full of character and charm. The room was clean bright and large with fantastic sea views. The spa facilities were basic but clean and a real bonus for such a well priced stay. The breakfast buffet was freshly cooked with plenty of choice. This is an old place so dont expect a boutique hotel... More

Bought a voucher off groupon to be told on calling to book that it would cost more than double the original cost as we would have to go through several upgrades that were not all mentioned in the small print. On arrival I asked the receptionist if there was a standard double room available and reluctantly she admitted there was... More

Our daughter purchased a groupon deal for us to have an evening here with afternoon tea and breakfast. Its true that there is no wifi in the room (thank goodness). I was here to spend time with my husband. The afternoon tea was delicious, we spent some time in the pool and mostly had it to ourselves. We ate out... More

A bit dated but good value for an overnight stop. Room was clean and comfortable but needed modernising and better blackout blinds. Bar prices were expensive especially as there is a Weatherspoons pub nearby. The low price for the room, however, made it a place I would visit again. No WiFi in the bedroom was disappointing and breakfast was not... More
