We have recently stayed twice at the hotel, never eaten lunch or dinner here purely because we have been out and about seeing friends etc. The have parking and welcome dogs for a very acceptable fee compared to some places, we had previously stayed in a large sea view room, very very nice. This time round my partner booked a... More

My husband and I stayed for two nights at this hotel. The first night in a first floor normal rate room (adequate for one night but looks abit tired in the rooms and the heating wasn't great) then we upgraded to a sea view room the next night. The Seaview rooms are much nicer, a huge room with doors opening... More

This was built in 1900 as a hotel and was one of the most grand hotels going in Newqeay. It is such a shame that this building has never been refurbished. It is like going into a time warp to the 70s. The outside looks like an old manor house and in the communal areas are very grand with dark... More

Stayed at the hotel on the 21st Feb. Very disappointed. The hotel itself is grand and the views are amazing. Unfortunately we can not rate this hotel as the bed was so uncomfortable that we both had a bad back for the whole of the next day and my boyfriend even woke up with a red mark and a what... More

Just got home from what I shall call a noisy weekend when a quiet one is what was hoped for. Initial impression of the hotel was good. Staff on reception friendly, very clean, homely looking. Room was basic but clean. Bedding was spotless. Ancient tv was a let down and quite difficult to watch if laying on the bed as... More

Stayed at this hotel last week, on arrival people walking in with bags of chips, had to wait to check in due to locals complaining as they wanted to use gym, lounge nice, but room OMG, mis-match of tired scuffed furniture, stained carpet, ever thought of replacing if you cant clean, there was an old wardrobe in front of a... I stayed at this hotel a few times in the first half of 2014 and always found it to be excellent value. The rooms are a little dated and tired but the added bonus of a pool and sauna for the price was fantastic! Service was great, always a friendly smile and very helpful. Breakfast pretty good too - and... More

I visited newquay for a charity event we do every few months or so and decided this time to treat ourselves and stay at the Victoria however the only charity that was needed was for the sports bar laughable as all locals in the bar were drunk and slurring swearing looked unkempt and this was half past one in the...
