The Headland truly is peerless in my opinion. We have stayed here previously and loved it but sometimes you return to a place and it is not quite as you remember it. Not with this place. It just gets everything right. I love the atmosphere ....relaxed and peaceful but not boring; a bit trendy but dignified. We like the surfer... More

Excellent hotel. We had our wedding at the Headland on 18 July. Claire and the rest of the staff were fantastic. They really went above and beyond to provide an excellent service. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was superb. Our room was oustanding with beautiful views of Fistral beach. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone planning... More

We enjoyed a fabulous New Year break at The Headland with our family, friends and dog, George. We've booked to go back this year! Our tower suite was great, albeit a little windy in the storms we had, but great accommodation and views. The staff at The Headland were friendly and helpful and the food was delicious.

We were very very unhappy with our stay in this hotel. This hotel may have all the facilities to be a four star rated hotel but the service and limited menu provided by the hotel are just not up to standard. Our evening meal was very poor in both portion size and taste,it was also was very slowly served to ourselves. An hour... This hotel is a large hotel with outstanding views, stands alone on the headland with superb views of the Atlantic Ocean and Fistral Beach. Lovely spa, lovely dining room and great outside area for eating. Menu was a little unadventurous and the service was trying to be first class but was missing the mark, food took a long time to... I stayed here last weekend 19th-22nd July for a short break and was excellent. As soon as I stepped in the door I was made to feel at home and important. Rooms were clean and well looked after clean towels everyday. I had a sea view room which was lovely and refreshing. The hot tub was amazing and very relaxing. All... More

My husband and I stayed in a double room with an exquisite view over the sea. The room was extremely comfortable and beautifully decorated. We even had the mattress of our choice as I had mentioned at a previous stay that the bed was a little firm for my back. I love the staff, they remember your name, are so... More

We have just returned from another wonderful week away staying at the Headland hotel self catering cottages. It's self catering with a difference as has daily service to make the bed , tidy and empty the bins. Literally a stones through from Fistral beach with use of the hotel facilities. It has both indoor and outdoor pools which we used... More

Great news, I am delighted that you had such a successful stay with us. Our guests have all enjoyed such fantastic weather over the past couple of weeks, Fistral Beach clear blue seas and beautiful sunshine; even some huge schools of dolphins from time to time. I am so pleased that you found the time to enjoy the Spa; our... More

My partner and I had lunch at the hotel whilst staying in Newquay in July and also explored the hotel and grounds itself. The views of the beach are phenomenal, the terrace was peaceful and ambient, the food was rustic and hearty and the service was truly exceptional. Even though we werent staying at the hotel the staff made us... More

I stayed in a 2 bedroom cottage with my sister and our respective boyfriends. We were in “Fistral 4” which I Imagine is considered one of the lesser cottages as it doesn’t have a sea-view. Well a sea view is hardly needed as the cottage itself is so beautiful. It would be a happy holiday simply gazing at the beamed... More

Many thanks for your absolutely wonderful review and choosing to share your experience of your stay in one of our Headland Cottages on this forum. The ‘sun trap pods’ have been so popular with this recent weather and are ideal for those lazy afternoon people watching or alternatively sun gazing hours when the walk to the pool or down the... Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Newquay's original 4* hotel and 5* cottages, surrounded on three sides by the sea. With stunning views of Fistral Beach, the Atlantic Ocean and Newquay Bay, this is your perfect beachside escape. Families, surfers, businessmen, couples - everyone is made to feel at home. Don't forget you can also bring your dog!Our stunning Leisure Area opened last year and is complimentary for Hotel and Cottage guests to use. Facilities include a heated spa pool with bubble seats and a jet stream, hot tub, aromatherapy showers, Swedish sauna and Cornish salt steam room.We are currently working on the final stage of The Headland Spa which will be complete in autumn 2013. This includes a host of exciting features including a robed dining area and relaxation lounge, a nail salon for manicures and pedicures, a Rhassoul, St. Tropez tanning room, a hydrotherapy bath and a suite of luxury treatment rooms including a VIP suite for exclusive use. We are endeavouring to keep the disturbance to our guests to an absolute minimum, and would hope that the allure of the spa relaxation to come will overcome any slight inconveniences that might occur along the way. During some of these works, it may be occasionally necessary to transfer some of the dining arrangements from our main Restaurant to The Terrace, The Ballroom, or one of our more intimate private dining areas. ... more   less
