We were a family of four, with two teenagers, staying in one of the cottages for five nights leading to August bank holiday. The cottage was beautifully presented and very well equipped with just about anything you would need, allowing you to prepare qute elaborate meals if you wanted to. Both bedrooms were en-suite and had a luxurious feel. An... More

We stayed here for a weekend recently. This is a beautiful hotel with amazing sea views. The room was modern clean and spacious and the hotel itself was perfectly positioned right on the sea next to Fistral beach. The big disapointment to me was the service in the restaurant. The gentleman in charge (may have been a Maitre D) was... More

Just spent a week here, in glorious late summer sunshine. The hotel is perfectly placed on the cliff top with panoramic views of the ocean. Sunsets seen from the terrace are especially spectacular! The hotel is like a grand old lady, beautiful manners but a little faded round the edges. The staff are in the main friendly and polite. The... More

My wife and I stayed here in September 2014. The hotel is very well - appointed, with several guest lounges, various bars, terraces to sit out in the sun with a cool drink and spacious rooms with all the fittings you would expect from a luxury venue. When we went into our room for the first time (Room 202) we... More

Been here before so we must like it! Lovely setting with beautiful views. Worth paying for the sea view which we didnt have this time, but have in the past. Very nice new spa though the pool is extremely small. All in all an enjoyable stay though do find it takes an inordinate time to order drinks at the bar!

The building from outside is impressive. Inside is a bit old, asking for a refreshing. The service and food is poor. I noticed guests complaining about the long time waiting to be attend. For what I payed I was expecting something much better.

Driving up to the Headland Hotel you are greeted with a beautiful site of the fantastic architecture. Inside the hotel is great for families and pets as most guests had dogs with them. I stayed at this hotel because this was the setting for the children's film The Witches. The desk clerk even took my friend and I on a... More

First time here and what a lovely place. Very grand. Our room was lovely too. I was very disappointed with the service at times. Many times I ordered drinks only to have to reorder as the waiter or someone else had fluffed the order ie drinks did not turn up. I was also bitterly disappointed that the terrace was put... More

We were really looking forward to this hotel because of the great reviews. We waited awhile to be checked in and it was clear that the receptionist checking us in was not as cordial as the one next to her, checking in another couple at the same time - she seemed attentive. No one showed us to our room, just... More

We stayed at the Headland last weekend with our two children - ages 2 and 4 - we had a family coastal view suite (Room 317) - room was great, although bathroom quite small for 4, kids loved their separate room with their own TV and it was nice and quiet and comfortable. We love the Headland - the staff... More
