We've tried quite a number of B&Bs over the years and several in the Newquay area and Tregarthen is right up there with the best. Lovely hosts, high quality bedroom interiors with great touches such as a fridge and access to plates etc for take-aways and also a very good breakfast. All at a very reasonable rate. It's also in... This was our second visit to Tregarthen, standards on both occasions where excellent. Julie and Jim where perfect hosts friendly but not over powering. Everything was spotlessly clean and modern. The fridge and own entrance where added bonus's. Thanks for everything, will definately re-book. Barbara and Barry Rickards More

Having looked at the reviews, we decided to book for a couple of nights, WHAT an EXCELLANT choice Julie and Jim are the perfect hosts, the room was spotless, the bed very comfortable, a fridge is provided along with wine classes and opener, little details that make a big difference. There are a number of little extras provided by Julie and Jim at Tregathen, things like a fridge in the room, wine bottle opener and glasses, crockery/cutlery for take away food. Little things that make the stay more comfortable - more like home. We happened to have the upstairs family room which is very large but the other rooms we... More

WENDYAND BENTLEY, LINLITHGOW UK In the 3rd week of June we stayed at the Tregarthen guest house for one week. We were given the room on the top floor which we found to be a lovely spacious en-suite room, spotlessly clean light and airy with modern decor with a fridge for cold drinks and snacks, tea making facilities and a... Went back again 2nd Sept/ again spotlessly clean room as usual, really friendly welcome by Julie & Jim.Really made to feel like old friends. Close enough to town centre to walk but far enough out to be a quiet place to stay. Fantastic cliff top walks a short distance away. Already booked to go back again next year as do... More

I've been here several times now and quite honestly, it's the only place to stay in Newquay. Julie and Jim are great hosts and the whole place is comfortable and spotlessly clean. It's a short walk into town or to the beaches, but not right in the middle so it's quiet when you want it to be. More
